The Rivers State elders/leaders’ forum, along with various groups and individuals in the state, have extended their congratulations to Governor Siminialayi Fubara on his recent victory at the Supreme Court.
In an eight-point communique issued following their review meeting on the judgment’s outcome, the elders expressed their congratulations to Fubara and commended the country’s apex court for resolving the election matter within the stipulated timeline.
The meeting took place in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
The resolution, signed by the group’s leader, former Governor Rufus Ada-George, and nine other prominent elders and leaders of the state, highlighted that the country’s decision has eased the political tension that gripped the state over the past four months and put an end to dictatorship in the state.
