Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Rivers State Command, has engaged a kidnap syndicate in a gun duel at Okuru-Ama Waterside in Port Harcourt.
State Commandant, Michael Ogar, confirmed the development in a statement signed yesterday by the command’s spokesman Olufemi Ayodele.
Ogar said the shootout lasted over 25 minutes.
He said the operatives searched their hideout and recovered some arms and ammunition.
