Fuji maestro, Rahman Akanni, better known as RK1, has concluded plans to embark on a United States music tour.
According to information, the celebrated singer will treat his fans in some selected state in the U.S to a special Fuji tunes.
Places to be visited by the artiste include Texas, Dallas, Chicago, New York, Maryland and New Jersey.
Speaking from his Ibadan base, the Ogbomoso-born Fuji musician who said the U.S trip will be sponsored by Tola Olaniyan, said he started his career in 1983 when one of his teachers discovered his talent and paid for his performance.
Akanni who hails from ‘Alakeji’ compound in Ogbomoso, Oyo State noted said he was born into his mother’s musical family.
“I inherited this talent from my mother’s family. I have four albums now which are, Fuji Entertainer, Authentic, Fuji London, and Express.
“The first challenge I had on this job was that I started with local people and my team members were not serious with the work. Most Fuji artiste of this generation are lazy and that is why they downgrade this music and venture into Hip hop. If they are competent they won’t mix the two together,” RK1 said.
He urged other Fuji artistes to shun enmity and assist upcoming artist to be successful in their career.
“Fuji artistes that are successful do not want the upcoming ones to grow. If you are competent in what you are doing, I don’t think anyone is disturbing one another. They should stop that idea,” he said
