AMBASSADOR of Nigeria to Spain, Demola Seriki, and his wife, Wosilat, were in high spirit as their daughter, Alimah, got married to Makinde Araoye, the son of Professor Akinyemi and Fumilayo Araoye, in a grand wedding ceremony in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event, which attracted the crème de la creme in Nigeria, was chaired by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.
The governor advised the new couple to be tolerant and patient with each other, as there would always be disagreements between a man and his woman.
According to the Sanwo-Olu, communication is the answer to misunderstandings, adding that whenever Alimah is wrong, Makinde must admit she is right.
“I have known the couple before I became a governor. Alimah is not only a daughter to me; she is my lawyer as well. I see a couple that will be the envy of all and I pray that the two families will move forward. Makinde is an outstanding young politician who wants to learn the ropes of governance,” the governor stated.
