Senator Suswam condoles with The Guardian over death of reporter

The Senator, representing Benue North East Senatorial District, Dr Gabriel Suswam, has described the death of Benue State correspondent of The Guardian newspaper, Joseph Wantu, as a huge loss to not just the newspaper but the entire people of the  state and Nigeria at large.

Suswam, who visited the  Makurdi home of the deceased  ahead of the burial on Saturday , stated that the late journalist  was upright and dedicated to his duty at all times. He said  Benue North East Senatorial zone , will miss his reportage, especially on activities of bandits.

The Senator, who was  represented by his aide, Tordiaka Angya,  was also  accompanied by his media aide Bede Bartholomew, called on the family as well as staff members of  The Guardian to  be consoled that the reporter left behind a good name and he will be greatly missed by many.

The senator donated an undisclosed amount of money to help the family give the  late Wantu a benefiting burial.
