MULTI-TALENTED On Air Personality, Sheye Banks has opened up on his versatility as a radio presenter, artist, hypeman, and A&R executive.
The self-acclaimed pioneer of Hype Music in Africa said that focus and determination has been what keeps him going for over a decade in the entertainment industry.
Asides pioneering Hype music in Africa on what is now referred to as AfroHype, Banks has been able to apply his good taste in music as an A&R by working with several artists including Reekado Banks, Buju, Iyanya, Davido and Kizz Daniel.
He recently received plaques for his achievements as the first A&R in Africa to score three top hits on the TurnTable charts.
Addressing claims that he stopped being an OAP, he said: “I’m still an OAP while I hype, make hype music and function as an A&R. I know a lot of people get confused because they see me doing multiple things almost at the same time but that I what makes me different.”
