Six security operatives abducted by the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Borno State have regained freedom.
The Nation learnt the operatives from North Eastern Gubio local government area of Borno State were abducted in the early hours of Saturday .
But Zagazola Makama, a counter- insurgency expert, said the victims escaped after a military super Tucano fighter jet launched a fierce pursuit of the terrorists.

Zagazola was quoted as saying the operation was carried out by gallant troops of 5 Brigade Operation Hadin Kai, Gubio backed by the Air Task Force(ATF) Super Tukano, which chased the fleeing terrorists who ran towards the axis of Gadai village, Nganzai Local Government of Borno State.
Zagazola added: “The security men were attacked and abducted at the Rural Urban Migration Site(RUGA), at Pompom Baliya village located about 5 kilometers to Gubio and carted away with hilux patrol vehicle.
“It was at that moment that the victims also ran towards a separate direction and escaped from the captivity of the terrorists.”
The source added the security operatives are safe and some have returned to Gubio town while one other was on his way back.
“They include 1 police man, 3 Civilian Joint Task Force and 2 hunters” he said.
