Six senior secondary schools in Lagos State have been picked as models for a project to develop critical and high-order thinking skills for 21st century education.
Organisers of the project, CASIO Middle East and Africa FZE, and its Nigerian distributor, SKLD, said the project will be implemented through ‘inquiry-based learning’.
The project aims to integrate technology in learning of mathematics; help pupils learn to use scientific calculator to enjoy learning mathematics; nurturing logical thinking and improving basic academic skills; helping teachers to conduct interactive lessons with pupils and improve teaching skills.
The project is also supported by Ministry of Education, in line with its policy to drive qualitative teaching and learning through technology.
