Sokoto People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate Malam Sa’idu Umar Ubandoma has commissioned his campaign organisation under the auspices of ‘Ubandoma Unity Organisation’.
He donated N1million to pilot support for his election in 2023 general polls by the organisation.
The guber candidate also received thousands of All Progressives Congress(APC) members who defected to the ruling PDP in the caliphate.
Speaking at the inauguration, Ubandoma who has long started mobilising support to realise his dream , said he was ready to work with the organisation’s leadership and other support groups to drive responsive campaign strategies to fruition for the victory of the party in the state and country.
According to him: “We have to collectively build a strategic political campaign pattern that would strengthen our hope and journey for the party’s desired success at all levels.”
He assured the defectors of their rightful place in the party’s affairs adding “we will extend the support necessary for you to drive and propagate the beneficial ideal of our great party ahead of the polls.”
Represented by Sokoto PDP Publicity Secretary , Hassan Sahabi Sanyinnawal, Chairman of the party, Hon. Bello Aliyu Goronyo acknowledged the unprecedented initiative of the Ubandoma Unity Organisation, stressing that it was politically logical to have such structure in place.
According to Goronyo, the party at the state level will ensure genuine and proper synergy by extending assistance to the Organisation for the success of PDP in Sokoto state while urging the decampees to work hard for the party’s victory in 2023.
Leader of the Organisation , Alhaji Umaru Danmasanin Bodinga explained that its mission was to drive a campaign strategy that will strengthen it capacity to mobilise and canvass support across all nook and crannies of the state for the party’s guber candidate ahead of the 2023 general elections.
” We are building up to ensure all PDP candidates secure victory. I am appealing and persuading interested persons to join the train of our mission. Our doors and open till the last day of the campaigns,” he said.
