The leadership of Southsouth Youth Coalition for Good Governance (SSYCGG) has said Nigeria needs a true game-changer with past experience of tackling crisis situations – whether political or economic as next year’s President.
The coalition said it was tired of years of political rhetorics from professional politicians who have proven since independence, that they don’t have the capacity and desire to address the challenges facing the country.
Convener / Coordinator of the coalition, Aigbomian Smart, at a news conference, said the group was committed to deepening democracy, people driven and result-oriented leadership for the Nigerian people come 2023 and beyond.
“This nation cannot afford to look on, while its economy sinks, accountable leadership seems more like a mirage and a number of Nigerians seem to be struggling with a crisis of confidence, as to whether or not 2023 will offer a better alternative.
“That despite the current level of stagnation, there is seeming desperation by overly ambitious politicians in both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), among others, to dominate the stage. But beyond these sharks, there are professionals and business tycoon with proven records of good management of men and resources and the capacity to obliterate or, at least minimise conflicts in their domains. But they constitute a fraction of our current political leaders,” he said.
Smart said it was high time Nigerians used an alternative political platform to mobilise and vote for good governance.
He urged Nigerians to support the presidential ambition of Chief Executive Officer of Radiation Investment Limited, Chief Samson Odupitan next year.
According to him, Nigeria needs someone like Chief Odupitan with a proven record of good humanitarian and resources management as president in 2023.
He said Odupitan, being a professional who has succeeded in his chosen career, has what it takes to fix the country from years of retrogressive development by professional politicians.
He said: “It is our belief that this nation, more than all else, needs a true game-changer with past experience of tackling crisis situations – whether political or economic.
“We call on Nigerians electorates across the country to join us in mobilising electorate during the forthcoming general election to vote Chief Samson Odupitan as the next President come February 2023 Presidential Election.

“We call on all Nigerian Youth not to allow any politician to use them for canon folder and as agents of political malpractice. Let’s unite to vote out all politicians who have contributed to our years of retrogressiveness as a nation with our PVC come 2023 General Election.”
