The political stakeholders in Isiala Ngwa South local government area of Abia state have condemned the recent call by some people calling for the Speaker Rt Hon Chikwendu Kalu to resign or be recalled.
The stakeholders were reacting to a recent publication in some national dailies not The Nation where they said that they had commenced recall process on the speaker of the state House of Assembly.
The stakeholders after the meeting at the country home of the speaker released a communiqué signed by 87 people condemning the actions of some members of the council area and called them to retrace their steps or face the consequences.
The four point communiqué reads, “That we pass a vote of implicit confidence on our son, member representing IsialaNgwa South State constituency and the Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly Rt Hon Chikwendu Kalu.
“We hereby pledge our unalloyed loyalty to our son and the speaker of Abianstate House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chikwendu Kalu as well as the Abia state government under the leadership of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu.”
