Stop advising me, Portable warns critics

Self-styled ‘wahala’ singer Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable has cautioned those advising him to accompany it with money.

Portable spoke after he was faulted for his failure to attend the just-concluded 15th Headies Awards in the US.

The ‘Zazuu’ crooner was nominated in two different categories for the 15th edition of Headies but later disqualified over a death threat to co-nominees.

Replying those advising him over misconduct, Portable warned them to hold on to it since he is human and prone to making mistakes.

“I’m not doing competition. Don’t come advising me. I’m not in for advice that doesn’t yield money. If you want to advise me, give me money. If you give me money, I’ll listen to your advice. People who like you would want you to fall because they wouldn’t want you to move ahead of them. I’m not Godsent, I’m a human being, I’m not perfect.

“Thank God for all the blessing, it’s been God’s doing. If it were to be man, I would have been cast.

“God send my helpers to me. Helpers that won’t look at my mistakes. Oh Lord bless me, forgive me all my sin. God is bigger than man,” he said in pidgin English.
