An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Ondo State, Morayo Lebi, at the weekend, urged those he called “political sycophants” to stop creating disharmony within the APC in a bid to seek favour of the Governor-elect, Rotimi Akeredolu.
The former Ondo South senatorial candidate in last year’s National Assembly election said rather than create a gulf between Akeredolu and some party chieftains, they should advise Akeredolu, who is now the state party leader.
The lawyer assured residents of proactive governance under the governor-elect, who he described as pragmatic.
Lebi, at a briefing in Akure, the state capital, debunked the allegation of working against his party during the November 26 election.
He condemned those fabricating lies, advising them to remain focused.
“I want to state that at no time did I leave or contemplate leaving APC, it is illogical for anyone to think of such a thing. I have been contributing my best to the development of the party in the state since it was founded.”
