Suspected killers of UNIBEN lecturer remanded in prison

Three suspected armed robbers who allegedly murdered Prof. Paul Otasowie of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in the University of Benin ( UNIBEN ) were on Monday remanded in prison by a magistrate court in Edo State.

The suspects identified as Okhumode Best and Okoro Junior were arraigned before an Egor Magistrate Court.

They allegedly robbed the university don of his white Samsung phone before killing him.

Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Patricia Igho Braimah, declined jurisdiction on the matter and accordingly remanded the accused persons in prison.
