  • “33” Export bonds with customers in new platform

    Double “33” Export celebrated this year’s ‘Valentine’s Day’ in a rather unique way by bringing its consumers together with its new platform, ‘Connect Experiences’

    The “33” Connect is a new experiential platform that brings people together to celebrate shared interests and moments in a convivial environment.

    The unique platform transforms everyday beer parlor occasions to the most exciting and unforgettable experiences for all guests.

    With it guests looked forward to a night of networking, games, comedy, music, winning fantastic prizes, in addition to receiving ice cold “33” Export.

    The first of these larger than life experiences was themed the Valentine Mingle and held simultaneously on Valentine’s Day in Uyo and Lagos.

    The two cities played host to hundreds of guests eager to participate in the thrilling games on display.

    In line with the theme of the event, couples were treated to exciting games that tested how well they know each other.

    Imagine, for instance, the look on one lady’s face when she realised that her husband’s favourite color was blue and not black!

    Aso Rock International Bar, Ikotun, hosted the experience in Lagos, while Pyramid Bar and Grill played host to the experience in Uyo.

    Both events dominated social media conversations as everyone was excited to capture great moments and share their experiences online.

    A premium beer, ‘’33’’ Export Lager Beer, was launched into the market in 1979.

    The brand decided to add a new concept to celebrate creative writers in the latest edition of its “City of Friends” event by organising a writing competition tagged #Pendownforfriendship, which resulted in being a combination of music, entertainment and creative writing that had its unique experience.

  • “33” Export rewards writers with prizes and training grants worth N3m

    The tides changed for under-appreciated writers recently as “33” Export rewarded 10 writers with prizes and training grants worth up to three million naira (N3m), a blogger, Ikeogu Chinemerem Chibuikem, has emerged the star prize winner in the Pen Down for Friendship competition instituted by “33” Export Lager Beer to reward Nigerian journalists and bloggers as part of activities marking the 2018 World Friendship Day.

    He was announced the winner of the star prize of N500,000 worth of training grant, a laptop  and other prizes including trays of “33” Export Lager Beer in the award presentation ceremony held at the Eagles Club, Surulere, Lagos , to celebrate the 2018 World Friendship Day.

    As rightly asserted by the Marketing Director of Nigerian Breweries, makers of “33” Export and other premium beer brands, Mr. Franco Maria Maggi, “33” Export brand is “…dedicated to building friendship moments. We believe that friendship should be celebrated every day. Hence, all our brand activities are geared towards celebrating friendship. To this end, the “33” Export brand is poised to continually participate in activities that will unite us along these lines.”

    “33” Export further enlisted the services of renowned journalists as judges for the competition. The judges were public relations expert, Anthony Kan Onwordi (Toni Kan), award-winning writer Pelu Awofeso, and Saturday Punch editor, Olabisi Deji-Folutile.

    Other winners in the competition are Adeoye Emmanuel Aanu and Ben Chuks, who emerged first and second runner up respectively, who also get N300, 000 and N200, 000 worth of training grant respectively, alongside a laptop  and three trays of 33″ Export Lager Beer each.

  • How Winners Emerged In “33” Export Lager Pen-down Friendship Competition

    Ikeogu Chinemerem Chibuikem, a blogger has emerged the star prize winner in the Pen Down for Friendship competition instituted by “33” Export Lager Beer to reward Nigerian journalists and bloggers as part of activities marking the 2018 World Friendship Day.

    He was announced the winner of the star prize of N500,000 worth of training grant, a laptop  and other prizes including trays of “33” Export Lager Beer in the award presentation ceremony held at the Eagles Club, Surulere, Lagos on Saturday, 4th August, to celebrate the 2018 World Friendship Day.

    Other winners in the competition, which was open from 11 – 27 July, 2018, are Adeoye Emmanuel Aanu and Ben Chuks, who emerged first and second runner up respectively, who also get N300, 000 and N200, 000 worth of training grant respectively, alongside a laptop  and three trays of 33” Export Lager Beer each.

    Other seven top contenders also won consolation prizes of a laptop and three trays of “33” Export Lager Beer each. They are Sifa Asani Gowon, Gift Wogu, Idowu Addison and Adaora Nzotta. Others are Anuforoh Prosper Obum, Hannah Onoguwe, and Chukwudi Obila.

    Emmanuel Agu, Portfolio Manager, Mainstream Lager and Stout Brands, NB Plc, while congratulating the winners for their intuition and storytelling prowess, enjoined them to keep the flame of friendship burning always.

    He noted that the competition was not for the journalists and bloggers to report other people’s stories, which they routinely do in the course of their work, but for them to tell their rich friendship-themed stories to inspire others to cherish and appreciate friendships.

    He further explained that entrants to the Pen-Down-for-Friendship competition were required to send their friendship-themed stories published in any of the media platforms, online, print or electronic, to the organizers along with their particulars. The entries were reviewed by a panel of judges who shortlisted the best ten, from which the winners were later chosen.

    Over 160 entries were received and judged by a jury of 3 acclaimed writers – Toni Kan, Pelu Awofeso and Olabisi Deji-Folutile.

    Tony Kan is  an author, public relations senior executive and teacher. He is co-founder of This is Lagos and Sabi News and was the  winner of the NDD/Ken Saro Wiwa Literature prize, awarded by the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) in 2009.

    Pelu Awofeso, often described as “Nigeria’s foremost travel writer” is a Nigerian Journalist, publisher, travel and culture writer. He is a winner of the CNN/Multichoice African Journalist Awards in the “Tourism Category”.

    Olabisi Deji-Folutile is an experienced journalist, columnist. She is currently the Editor, Saturday Punch. She has worked in different media organisations including the News Agency of Nigeria and the African Newspapers of Nigeria, publishers of the Tribune titles. She has a Master’s degree in Communication Arts from the University of Ibadan and is currently undergoing her PhD programme.

    As part of the World Friendship day celebration “33” Export will also be hosting thousands of friends via annual “City of Friends” party, a two-day funfair and merriment events for friends who long for an opportunity to create lasting memories among one another; and the That-One-Friend Competition, meant for the consumers of the “33” Export Lager Beer to share their Friendship memories and be part of another prize giving fiesta.

    Consumers in Lagos, Uyo and Enugu cities were hosted to another edition of the “33” Export Friendship Party organised by Nigerian Breweries Plc.

    It was a great experience as the number one beer saw a massive turnout as the people of Lagos, Uyo and Enugu.

    Guests were treated to various  activities, including music.
