    Omotola Jalade to celebrate 40th birthday with 5-day event

    Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, who will be turning 40 on February 7, 2018, is set to use the opportunity to reach out to as many women and widows as possible in a line-up of activities which she tagged ‘Omotola4PointO.

    The actress who posted the invitation card on her Instagram page asked friends and colleagues to save the date for the five-day event which holds from February 7 to  February 11, 2018.

    The Five Day event starting from her birthday date will have the actress going to some places to give out gift items to widows and orphans, tagged ‘Give and Let Give To Widows and Orphans’.

    A couples retreat tagged ‘Reciprocative, Respect, Mental Health and Avoiding Slavery in Marriage’ will hold on the second day while the third day is a ‘Renaissance Trip’ to trace the beginning of slavery. On the fourth day is a Symposium, where top personalities will meet and discuss on ‘Mental Slavery and the Emancipation of the Black Race.’

    The last day is set for a grand celebration which is themed ‘The Omosexy Grand Ball.’

    The actress, who according to her profile made a debut in 1995 and in 2013, was honoured in Time Magazine list of the 100 most influential people in the world alongside Michelle Obama, Beyoncé and Kate Middleton.

    Omotola is married to pilot, Captain Matthew Ekeinde and have four children together.

    The founder of Omotola Youth Empowerment Programme (OYEP) is also a UN WFP ambassador, Amnesty International activist.

    COMIC Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus, last Thursday marked her 40th birthday giving gratitude to her maker.

    The actress who uploaded a photograph on Instagram wearing only an up shoulder gown, with her legs on display expressed that her creator has shown her much love and kindness these past years.

    “Thank You Lord for all the beautiful happenings in my life in the past years. It can only be You, Lord how excellent You are? You’ve shown me much more than I deserve. And I thank you for granting me yet another year with good success.

    “Who am I to have enjoyed your love, care, gift, miracles and much more? But, You’ve kept me this far. Thank You O Lord

    ”You’re the reason I live. You’re the reason I breathe. You’re the reason I flourish. You’re the reason for everything good in my life. Today being my birthday, Lord, I ask for forgiveness. I ask for joy and happiness. I ask for success at all times. Amen.

    “Awesome God, I bless your name for making me witness another year of fulfilment,” she captioned the photo.

    Born September 7, 1977, Badmus came into limelight in 2008 after she featured in the film Jenifa. Other movies she has acted in include Angelina, Village Babes, Oreke Temi, Blackberry Babes, Mr. & Mrs Ibu, Wicked Step-mother, Child Seller as well as Adun Ewuro.

  • All set for Femi Obat’s 40th birthday

    Big boy of high society and prominent player in the oil and gas sector, Prince Akinfemi Akinruntan, a.k.a. Femi Obat, will be celebrating his 40th birthday next month. However, those who are expecting him to throw a lavish party will have to swallow the bitter pills of disappointment. The stylish man behind Obat Oil will be celebrating his birthday with the people.

    The popular Ondo dude will hold a four-day event to mark his birthday whereby the people of Ondo will have access to free health services for the four days. Having decided that his money is better spent impacting the lives of the people, Femi Obat plans to make those four days one in which anyone with health concerns can get a check-up and be treated free of charge.

    The four-day event has been set for 16th to 19th July at the Obamakin Osangangan Civic Centre, Olugbo of Ugbo Palace, Ode Ugbo, Ondo State. It will be presided over by a team of professional doctors who will be paid from Femi Obat’s private pocket.

    However, Femi’s party-loving friends will not lose out as there will still be a grand birthday dinner later that week in honour of the handsome young dude.

    BUXOM comedienne and actress Bose Ogunboye, stage name Lepacious Bose, hit the landmark age of forty on Sunday, April 17 and celebrated it in grand style with friends, colleagues, and family. At a shindig hosted by the birthday girl were the likes of Gbenga Adeyinka, Tunde Adewale popularly known as Tee A, Owen Gee and his lovely wife Moyo, Kofi, Omo Baba, and others. The funny girl had quite a number of birthday cakes at her gig with lots to eat and drink.

    An elated Bose took to Instagram to show her appreciation to all those who showed up at her party, and showed her love. She posted of Demola Fagade, stage name Omobaba; “Omobaba comedian, I can’t believe that you came, rushed to Ibadan, and rushed back because of me. Now I know you are truly family, and I love you.”

    Speaking of Gbenga Adeyinka and Tee A, she said, “You and Tee A, after such a long day! Tired and stressed out through traffic, you got in so late. I have no pictures, but have the memories in my heart.” Of Kofi Idowu-Nuel stage name Koffi, she said, “You showed up for me bro, and am grateful.”

    Recall that the lawyer turned comedienne lost a lot of weight after a tasking weight loss journey that started two years ago, becoming a totally different woman in the process. She has now become a health food enthusiast, posting healthy living tips, as well as healthy foods, and preparation methods on Instagram.
