Epe Local Government of Lagos State Chairman, Ms. Surah Animashaun has urged Nigerians and Epe indigenes to reflect more on what unites the country and the local government rather than what divides it. Animashaun spoke at the 64th Independence Day goodwill messages to the people at the Secretariat in Epe.
She said: “Our journey of 64 years has not been without its ups and downs but we are here to celebrate because we are resolute in facing our challenges and forging ahead with hope to the promised land.
“As we move on to the next phase, we must remain united in shunning anti-social, ethno-religious conflicts, and other divisive schemes but channel our gifts, talents, ability and energy towards building Nigeria of our dreams, where we would see ourselves as one.
