    Adefisoye congratulates Aiyedatiwa on APC primary election victory

    A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ondo state, Tajudeen Adefisoye has congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on his victory in the APC governorship primary election.

    The election was held on Saturday, April 20, in all the 203 political wards of Ondo state in which Governor Aiyedatiwa defeated other fifteen aspirants by recording a state-wide and overwhelming victory.

    Adefisoye, who is popularly known as Small Alhaji described the victory of Aiyedatiwa as a victory for all APC members in Ondo state.

    He also described the victory of Aiyedatiwa as well-deserved due to his appealing style of leadership, outstanding record of performance, unmatched popularity, and intimidating acceptability across the Sunshine State.

    Small Alhaji further added that the victory of Aiyedatiwa was well anticipated as rightly predicted in the article he authored two days before the conduct of the primary election.

    He, however, assured that the victory of Aiyedatiwa in the primary election had already signalled the retention of power by the APC in Ondo state as the November general election would only be a mere formality.

    Adefisoye also appreciated the Governor Ododo-led Committee and all APC members that turned out in large numbers for the election in the 18 local government areas of the state.

    He particularly thanked APC members in Idanre Local Government Area of the Sunshine State.

    Meanwhile, Adefisoye has appealed to the other fifteen aspirants to close ranks with Governor Aiyedatiwa in a bid to ensure that the long overdue transformative development of Ondo State would become a reality.

    The former federal lawmaker further appealed to the other fifteen aspirants in the APC gubernatorial primary election to prioritize the party’s interest and allow the overall interest of Ondo State to override the interest of individuals.

    The rocky city of Idanre stood still on Sunday, April 14 as the campaign train of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa moved to Idanre ahead of the gubernatorial primary election of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

    The carnival-like campaign was attended by large numbers of APC members and supporters of Governor Aiyedatiwa.

    The expansive venue of the event was over-flooded by APC members that turned out from all parts of Idanre Local Government Area.

    Governor Aiyedatiwa was overwhelmed by the show of love and support demonstrated by the people of Idanre.

    The governor said he was surprised by the large crowd at the venue of the campaign, adding that the huge crowd was an assurance that Idanre people were fully in his support.

    He said: “I am surprised with the crowd at the venue of this campaign. This is clearly an assurance that the people of Idanre are for me. But, I must thank leaders of our party in Idanre for your support towards my patriotic ambition to move Ondo State to an enviable position in the comity of states in Nigeria”.

    The governor also assured that no effort would be spared to bring deserved development to Idanre. He however, urged the people not to rest on their oars in drumming support for his victory in both the APC gubernatorial primary as well as the general election that is slated for November 2024.

    Meanwhile, a chieftain of APC in Ondo state, Hon Tajudeen Adefisoye assured the crowd at the campaign venue that Governor Aiyedatiwa had a very high chance of winning the forthcoming gubernatorial primary.

    He also commended APC leaders and members in Idanre for the support given to Governor Aiyedatiwa thus far.

    Small Alhaji, as he is popularly known described Governor Aiyedatiwa as the people’s choice.

    He therefore assured Aiyedatiwa that the people of Idanre would give him maximum votes during the primary election. He further said that the people of Idanre had already decided to follow and give maximum support to Governor Aiyedatiwa.

    “I want to assure Governor Aiyedatiwa that our people in Idanre have already decided to give you maximum votes in both the primary and the general elections. As you can see Your Excellency, Idanre is for you and we will not fail or falter. By the grace of God, we will deliver landslide victory to you in Idanre Local Government Area “.

    Adefisoye also appreciated Aiyedatiwa for his listening ears and good governance in Ondo State since December 27, 2023, when he became Governor of the Sunshine State.

    He added that Aiyedatiwa deserved commendation for the purposeful governance, transformative development and the priority given to the welfare of workers in Ondo State.

    Leaders of APC that attended the Idanre campaign include a member representing Ondo East/Ondo West in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abiola Makinde; former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ade Adeogun; Mr. Tola Awosika, Commissioner-designate from Idanre, Hon. Sunday Akinwalere and Hon Akinnayajo.

    Others were members representing Idanre in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Princess Tosin Ajirotutu; Hon. Prince Kayode Aroloye, Hon Jide Akinroluyo. Hon. Henry Olatunja, Hon Tuyi, Hon. Salas among others.

    The rocky city of Idanre stood still on Thursday, March 28, as the Adefisoye Political Family officially declared support for the governorship aspiration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa

    The official declaration for Aiyedatiwa was held at the Idanre APC secretariat and it was well attended by party members, traders, artisans, commercial drivers, okada riders and religious leaders. 

    Speaking at the event, Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye, who was also convener urged all members of APC in Idanre to mobilize maximum support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa ahead of the governorship primary election scheduled for April 20, 2024. 

    Speaking further, Adefisoye assured of the imminent emergence of a new party leadership in Idanre that would carry all members of the APC along. 

    He also assured the tumultuous crowd that Governor Aiyedatiwa would fix all the rural roads in Idanre.

    Adefisoye also assured APC supporters in Idanre that Governor Aiyedatiwa would ensure even, fair and equitable distribution of appointments amongst leaders and members of the party. 

    He also emphatically assured the crowd that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa would record a landslide victory in both the primary and general elections in Idanre Local Government Area. 

    Adefisoye, lamented that APC had failed to win National Assembly election in Idanre since year 2025; but promised to reverse the trend. He equally assured that strenuous efforts would be made to unite all members of APC in Idanre after the primary election. 

    “I want to assure you that by the grace of God, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa will win the primary election of next month. I am also very sure that he will record landslide victory in both the primary and general elections in Idanre.

    “Please, don’t fight other members of APC that are now supporting other APC aspirants. They are your brothers and sisters and we are all one big APC family. But those that are supporting governorship aspirants of the opposition parties are our political opponents.”

    Adefisoye stressed that his support for Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa  was informed by the performance record, leadership qualities and qualifications of the governor. 

    Political leaders that attended the event include the former Idanre Local Government Chairman, Hon. Marcus Akinnayajo (Innomarc); Legislative Aide to Senator Adegbonmire, Hon. Adesoji Ayodeji; Chairman of Mandate Group, Hon. Lanke Akinde and the Vice Chairman of Mandate Group, Alhaji Yomi Akinsebikan. 

    Other were Mrs Foluke Akinmutimi, Dr. Olatunji Morocco, Mr. Lanke Olowokande, Mr Salas Abimbola while the Commissioner nominee from Idanre, Mr Sunday Akinwalire was ably represented by his Special Assistant, Mr Kayode Famuyiwa  (Sir K). 

    Meanwhile, leaders of groups and unions present at the event include the New Generation Group, ably led by Mr. Pedro Olonimoyo; G-10 Group ably led by Hon. Ojo Ayodeji (Tarac) ; Irewolede Group was led by Mrs Esther Obatoyinbo; Association of Tailors in Idanre was led by Mr Sola Bunte; Idanre Drivers’ Union was ably led by Mr Adegunsoye Adelanke (Coble) and Okada Riders Association in Idanre was led by Mr Sunday Akinmolayan. The event was however, moderated by Hon. Tunde Olomola (Aroma).
