    Someone told me I would lose my children, Funke Akindele breaks down amid Aderounmu’s death saga

    Seasoned actress Funke Akinedele has reacted to the allegation by brother to late actress, Jumoke Aderounmu, that she did not offer to help when she needed her the most. 

    Jumoke was one of the cast of Jenifa’s Diary,.palying the role of ‘Esther’ before her sudden death.

    The Nation reported that Aderounmu, popularly known for her feature in the hit series Jenifa’sDiary, died during the weekend over an undisclosed ailment.

    While reacting to the demise, via the comment session of an Instagram blog post, Funke wrote: “Sad!!!! @jideawobona I still asked about her. Omg. May her soul rest in peace.”

    In response, Aderounmu’s brother, in a series of posts via his Instagram page, commended Nollywood stars, Rita Dominic and Sotayo Gaga for reaching out to his sister, unlike Funke.

    The deceased’s brother added that there was no point in showing love when Funke Akindele failed to do the same when his sister was alive.

    During an Instagram live session on Tuesday, Funke expressed displeasure over a demeaning comment a netizen made on her page following Jumoke’s death.

    Funke said that she asked about Jumoke’s whereabouts not knowing she had been sick until the news about her demise.

    The actress noted that she also had her trying times, stressing that she got depressed after losing her mother.

    She said: “Someone made a comment on my page just now that I will bury my children. What have I done wrong? Jummy was part of Jenifa’s crew. She acted her role in Jenifa’s dairy and industreet and got paid, that was it. You know jenifa’s dairy is on a break and we are not working on the project, so most of the cast, we don’t really see each other.

    “So suddenly, I just messaged Jide and asked about Jumoke, and asked him to call her and ask about her wellbeing, and he said she is fine and we should be calling her for jobs. So Pascal called me that I should check online that Jumoke’s brother said nobody checked on her, and I said he is grieving and it is not easy to lose someone.

    “I lost my mom, nobody knows what I went through, I went through a lot, I was depressed losing my mom, I went through a lot. So I reached out to Jumoke’s brother, and nobody told me that your sister was sick. I said I don’t turn deaf ear to people that are next to me, i give but don’t like making noise about it

    “I hate it. I don’t beef any filmmaker or colleague, I do my things and face where I’m going to. The records I have been able to break are by the grace of God. Do not forget i got my trying moments too, what do you want me to do? The issue I had during Covid, politics I was backlash and marriage too. Somebody now said you will lose your children, I think that is too much. Yes, I’m very strict and focused; whoever works with me and wants to go can go, and those who want to stay can stay, too.”

    Actress Omotunde ‘Adaku’ of famed Jenifa’s diary has reacted to the claims of late Jumoke Aderounmu’s brother about Funke Akindele‘s alleged eyed service. 

    The Nation reported that Aderounmu Adejumoke, popularly known for her role as “Esther” in Jenifa’s Diary, passed away on April 6.

    Funke also shared her condolences and mourned the deceased but the brother of the late actress dragged the filmmaker describing her as a hypocrite.

    According to him, when Jumoke was sick, she reached out to Funke several times but did not get back to her.

    However, amid the brouhaha, Omotunde also known as Adaku in the popular TV series Jenifa’s diary has come out to advise the public to be careful of the accusations if they know nothing that went on behind closed doors.

    “May God have mercy on everyone that speaks on what they don’t know,” she wrote.

    Filmmaker Jide Awobona has reacted to the death of his colleague, Jumoke Aderounmu who passed away on Saturday, April 6 at 40.

    Jide Awobona penned a tribute to the deceased via his Instagram story, stating to her that he tried for her and he was sorry if it was not enough.

    Jide Awobona wrote: “Jumoke, I tried, but if it wasn’t enough, I’m sorry. May God forgive your Sins and Ensure your peaceful rest.”

    In another post, the filmmaker added: “I think for every problem there is a solution. Don’t be scared to find solutions to your problems. Sometimes those you expect to help solve your problems may not come through, not because they don’t wish to or they don’t love you, sometimes they have same or bigger problems and also finding solutions or they are busy solving other problems and don’t have the resources to add yours, look elsewhere for solutions.

    “Don’t give up in the process, be intentional, getting busy finding solution to your problem alone is therapeutic, you’re making new discoveries, getting healing in the process, meeting new people that may have a different role to play in your life, you’ll understand life better, you’ll appreciate yourself more, eventually, that might just be the solution to your problems, and it might be all you need to be fine happy and peaceful.”
