    Family announces burial of singer Aduke Gold

    Almost a week after her death, the family of late gospel singer, Aduke Gold, has announced the schedule for her burial rites.

    She died on August 13, 2024.

    The schedule for her burial was announced in an obituary banner on Saturday, August 17.

    The candlelight service will take place on Wednesday, August 21, at Ayanleye Primary School Idiagbon bus stop, College Road, Ifako Ijaiye, Ogba by 6pm.

    This will be followed by an artist night on Thursday, August 22 at Ayanleye Primary School Idiagbon bus stop, College Road, Ifako Ijaiye, Ogba, from 6pm to 6am.

    The lying in state/burial service will take place on Friday, August 23 at Lagos African Church Grammar School College bus stop, College Road, Ogba from 9am.

    Aduke Gold: Family breaks silence, reveals true cause of singer’s death

    The family of the late gospel singer, Aduke Gold, has clarified the circumstances surrounding her passing, refuting rumours that she died during fibroid surgery.

    The deceased’s brother, Pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, stated that Aduke Gold succumbed to cervical cancer, as confirmed by the death certificate from University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan.

    In a viral video, Pastor Aderogbo urged the public to verify the information before spreading rumours, stressing that his sister’s death was due to her battle with cervical cancer.

    “Whoever is saying what is not should stop it, our daughter was ill, she had cervical cancer, she was taken to UCH in Ibadan and unfortunately, she died. The information spreading around is false”, he said.

    Planter of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Adamimogo Grace Of Mercy Prayer Mountain World-wide Prophet Sam Olu-Alo has expressed sadness over the passing of fast-rising gospel singer, Aduke Ajayi, otherwise known as Aduke Gold.

    He described Aduke Gold as a shining star in the gospel music industry.

    A statement by Prophet Alo recalled how music of the deceased blessed countless lives, praising her dedication towards spreading the gospel through her songs.

    He said he was shocked and saddened by the news of Aduke Gold’s passing, describing it as a great loss to the body of Christ.

    He extended condolences to the family of the late singer, praying that God would comfort them during this difficult time.

    He encouraged fans of Aduke Gold to take comfort in the legacy she left behind, which would continue to inspire and bless lives.

    He called on gospel musicians to continue the legacy of Aduke Gold by spreading the gospel through their music.

    The cause of the singers death has not been confirmed.

    Aduke Gold, who started music professionally in 2004, came to stardom with her live performance at the first remembrance of the late gospel artiste, Baba Ara.

    Aduke, who was the 11th child of her late parents, grew up in the Ogba and Badagry areas of Lagos.

    JUST IN: Gospel singer, Aduke Gold dies

    Gospel singer Ajayi Aduke Morounkola popularly known as Aduke Gold is dead. 

    A popular colleague, Esther Igbekele, confirmed her demise in the early hours of Tuesday, August 13.

    She said on her verified Facebook page: “A GENERAL HAS FALLEN. ADUKE GOLD 🕊️🕊️🕊️#rip”

    The cause of her death remains unclear as at time of filing this report.

    The Ilesha-born singer was initially known as Aduke Penkele

    She grew up in Ogba and Badagry areas of Lagos and was from a polygamous home. 

    She was the 11th child of her late parents.

    Aduke Gold came to stardom with her live performance at the first remembrance of the late gospel artiste, Baba Ara. 

    Professionally, she started music in 2004.  

    One of her famous track “Nitori Ogo” which she released in 2021 also brought her into limelight. 

    Apart from music, she was a child educator with a passion for teaching young children. 

    Aduke was a graduate of history and international relations from Lagos State University. 

    She also had her second degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Lagos.
