Nigeria-based Kasi Healthcare and Chinese firm, Shenzhen Le Medical Technology have launched a device – Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for West Africa offshore and aeromedical environments.
The launch was finalised with a signing ceremony and a demonstration of the equipment in Lagos.
Medical Director of Kasi Healthcare, Dr Dayo Osholowu, said the partnership underscored a shared commitment to advancing aeromedical, offshore, and emergency training in West Africa.
Osholowu noted that the initiative would make life-saving interventions more accessible in, particularly in remote areas.

Speaking on the equipment, Osholowu emphasised the device would enhance capacity to manage cardiac arrest.
“This partnership will provide access to AEDs and telemedicine-enabled devices for injured persons, including transport for stroke victims, heart attack patients, and traumatic injuries.
“The programme will prioritise training local doctors, nurses, and paramedics, create jobs and build long-term capacity in the region.
“We have launched ADAC HEMS Academy Training Site in Nigeria, offering American Heart Association portfolio of courses and crew training,” Osholowu said.
Noting challenges in the sector, Osholowu said that technology plays a major role in development of aeromedical and offshore services.
