    ‘African traditional medicine going global’

Registrar of Lagos State Traditional Medicine Board, Babatunde Adele, yesterday urged stakeholders in traditional medicine to improve research, and properly document their work.

He said this is necessary to be at par with African traditional medicine going global.

Adele spoke at 2024 African Traditional Medicine Day, with the theme: ‘Research, develop and have proper documentation’, sponsored by Lagos Traditional Medicine Board, at Onikan Youth Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

He said traditional medicine could become a major avenue for achieving protection and promotion of people’s health as encapsulated in World Health Organisation declaration of 1978 and components of global Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
