    Hitlist N Cruzin gets more airtime

    Award-winning TV entertainment programme, Hitlist N Cruzin, which airs on AIT Network, TVC and other stations around the country has added another feather to its cap by bagging more airtime on AIT Network.

    While it already airs at 9pm on Tuesdays on AIT, the programme now enjoys more broadcast time on AIT at 10.30pm on Saturdays as well.

    “Good things come at the right time, and our additional airtime on AIT Network is definitely a very, very good thing,” said HNC’s presenter-producer, Mursty Adinoyi, about the development.

    “And being that we also won our first major award this year as the best entertainment programme on TV at the Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards, we’ll just keep working harder so that those good things will keep coming to us.”

    FCMB launches ‘Quick Recharge’ for airtime purchase

    First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Limited has unveiled a self-service, known as Quick Recharge, which allows all its customers to top-up their mobile phones instantly on any of the Global System for Mobile (GSM) networks.

    The service enables customers to recharge their GSM phones directly from their FCMB account by simply dialling a dedicated code and within seconds the customer’s phone is credited with the value of airtime purchased. This eliminates the delays and other challenges that could come with buying and use of physical recharge cards or PINS.

    In a statement, the bank explained that the Quick Recharge service can work on all mobile devices, including low end phones, smart phones and tablets. There is also no need for its customers to register on the platform as they all have been pre-registered to enjoy the service. The bank pointed out that the benefits of the service includes, instant top-up anywhere and anytime in the country and it is available on the existing GSM networks (MTN, Airtel, Glo and Etisalat) in the country.

    Second national carrier, Globacom, has said subscribers to its network have within the last two months received about N28billion worth of airtime from the Glo Overload Reloaded promo which is running.

    A re-launch of the promo earlier this year provided expansion to 400 per cent bonus airtime for a recharge of N200 and above, that is twice the initial 200 per cent bonus. The promo was one of those launched in the last quarter of 2014 which was designed to reward loyal and faithful subscribers.

    With more than 7,000 subscribers joining the promo and enjoying the benefits accruable since the re-launch, the company has given out  N27,523,577,800 bonus airtime to its subscribers.

    In the promo, a recharge of N200 gives a value of N1000 instantly, which is five times the value of recharge. N500 recharge gives the subscriber N2, 500 airtime value; N1000 gives N5000; N2000 gives N10,000; while N5000 gives N25,000 value.

    The bonus airtime can be used by subscribers to make calls to Glo lines and send SMS between 10pm and 8am. The validity period ranges from two to 15 days.

    Data subscribers on the network have also been enjoying the bonus. For example, a N2,500 data plan instantly gets 4.5GB worth of data, N5,000 gives 12GB, and N8000 gives 24GB of data.

    Also, customers who subscribe to the promo have the opportunity to be among the 120 millionaires that the promo will produce. Having produced 40 millionaires so far, 80 more will be announced in the next few weeks.

    Francis Oshin, a Glo subscriber, said the promo was a blessing to the industry.

    MTN said it is offering more value to its subscribers who use the MTN Virtual Top Up (VTU) service, adding that it is giving up to 100 per cent bonus on True Talk and Smooth Talk Plus after every recharge, for as low as N5 up to N200, between 00:30am and 1:59pm daily from Monday to Sunday.

    It explained in a statement that its VTU is a convenient service that enables customers to remotely top up airtime on their mobile phones from any part of the world and enjoy multiple services by dialling *555*PIN# or *888*PIN#.

    The bonus reward is available to customers for the following denominations: N5, N10, N20, N50, N100 and N200. It rewards customers with 100 percent bonus airtime immediately the main account is credited through the use of the MTN VTU 100 percent bonus recharge platform. Subscribers can then enjoy voice calls, SMS and data activities for as low as 40k per second on the bonus airtime while the regular tariff still applies for calls made from the main account.

    Its Sales & Distribution’s Executive, Omatsola Barrow, said: “Giving 100 per cent bonus on every VTU recharge is a way of appreciating our customers for making use of the service, while giving them even more value for money. With the additional bonus airtime, subscribers can make more calls, send SMS and do more data activities at no additional cost to them.”

    Subscribers must however exhaust the airtime in the main account before enjoying the benefits of the bonus account. They will also be unable to perform Share N Sell (Share N Sell is a service that enables a customer dispense airtime credit on his phone to five other beneficiaries of his choice) on both the main and bonus accounts.

    Its Corporate Services Executive, Akinwale Goodluck said: “We have pledged to continue to enrich the lives of our subscribers by providing them with a robust bouquet of innovative products and services, which is why we are rewarding our customers with 100 per cent bonus of the face value of every VTU recharge within the stipulated hours.
