    Ajadi to FG: Nigeria needs adequate database for planning, development

    Chief Executive Officer of Bullion Go-Neat Global Limited, Amb. Olufemi Ajadi, has called on the Federal Government to ensure adequate data for proper planning for the nation.

    He stated that lack of adequate database has been hindering proper planning in the country, saying the nation cannot grow without adequate planning.

    Ajadi, who was the Ogun gubernatorial candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general elections, noted the government has been working in darkness over the years.

    According to him: “Good and proper planning for development and growth coupled with well-being of the citizenry can only be achieved through adequate data base.

    “Surprisingly, Nigeria is said to be a country of about 200 million people, the question we need to ask is, when last have we have conducted Census in the country.

    “What we have been doing is guessing work. Which Census put Nigeria at about 200 million people. What percentage of the guess figure are youths, women, men and old ages.

    “We can’t continue to rely on guess work. Government needs to have adequate data base to plan”.

    Ajadi also called on Federal Government to establish vocational centres in each of the 774 Local Government Areas in the country.

    He said this would take care of the training needs of those who cannot continue their education after secondary schools but gifted to  be trained as artisans.

    Ajadi said the advice if implemented by the government will ensure that many youths are kept off the streets where they have been willing tools in the hands of criminally minded- individuals. 

    Ajadi was presented awards in recognition of his support and contributions to the developments of youths, community and some organisations.

    Some of the awards included Role Model and Most Idealistic Client of the Year 2023 by WAI-ERIO Associates; Achiever’s Award 2023 by Green and White Nigeria; Entrepreneurship Excellence Award by SMEs Expression.

    Others were 2023 Award of Excellence by Christian Youths in Politics; Award of Honour by Ogun State Barbers’ Association, Philanthropist of the Year 2023 by Iwe Iroyin Bo Se Ri.

    Ajadi to Nigerians: get more involved in governance

    A chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party, (NNPP), Amb. Olufemi Ajadi has charged Nigerians to be more involved in governance.

    He said Nigerians should be more interested in how they are governed.

    In a New Year message, Ajadi who was the gubernatorial candidate of NNPP in Ogun state in the last general elections,  said Nigerians should include in their New Year resolutions, increased interest in the nation’s electoral process as well as governance.

    He said their renewed interest in the electoral process is a sure way of strengthening the process and ensuring emergence of credible individuals in  governance.

    He added: “When we have credible people in governance, then the dividends of democracy will get to the electorates”.

    Ajadi, a national youth advocate, while acknowledging resilience and industrious of youths, urged them to continue to identify with positive forces in the country and be ready to contribute their quota towards the nation’s political growth.

    He encouraged them to join forces with NNPP across the country as a way of rescuing the country from corrupt leaders.

    He said NNPP, as its name suggests, stands for a reinvigorated Nigeria where things would work perfectly well.

    He said the party had also articulated a sustainable inclusive  programmes for youths, women and children to enable them unleash their potentials and energies towards the development of the country, and the actualisation of their personal aspirations.

    “While I greet the millions of hardworking women and youths in our country for the opportunity of seeing 2024, I urge them to close ranks with right-minded  individuals and parties across the land to bring about positive change in the country.”

    “God has endowed you and prepared you for such a time as this, so that you should identity with genuine goals and intentions of liberating the land for real and sustainable development, that is why I talk about playing participative role in the governance of our state and country,” he stated. 

    Ajadi said as an individual entrepreneur and philanthropist, he would be unfolding some employment  opportunities as well as wealth-creation and capacity – building programmes to help engage youths and women in this New Year.

    Ajadi fecilitates Olayoku as new IPAC Dept National Chairman

    A chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party, (NNPP) Amb. Olufemi Ajadi has congratulated the newly elected Deputy National Chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Mr. Oladipo Olayoku.

    Olayoku, who is also the national Secretary of NNPP, was elected on Wednesday unopposed during IPAC Election in Abuja.

    A statement by Ajadi, who was the governorship candidate of NNPP in Ogun State in the March 2023 election, said Olayoku’s appointment was well deserved.

    He said the election of Olayoku shows that the hard work and resilience he put into the administration of the NNPP was appreciated within and  outside the party.

    He noted that Olayoku is a round peg in a round hole, adding that IPAC will benefit immensely from Olayoku’s experience and hardwork.

    According to him: “I congratulate you on your election as the Deputy National Chairman of IPAC, an umbrella body of all registered political parties in the country, we in the NNPP are not surprised in your being elected unopposed to the exalted position of IPAC Deputy National Chairman.

    NNPP chieftain Ajadi seeks NJC intervention over Kano’s Appeal Court verdict

    A chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Com. Olufemi Ajadi, has called on the National Judicial Commission (NJC) to investigate the controversy surrounding last Friday’s Appeal Court judgement, which affirmed the sack of Kano Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf from office.

    He noted that the investigation becomes necessary after a paragraph in one of pages of the Certified True Copy (CTC) of the Appeal Court judgement indicated victory for Governor Yusuf despite the court’s announcement, which favours APC’s Nasiru Gawuna.

    A statement by Ajadi warned that NJC needs to clarify the matter and ensure that the truth is not swept under the carpet.

    Ajadi said: “Kano is sitting perilously on a keg of gunpowder. The Appeal Court read a statement that favours the APC candidate but the Certified True Copy showed that Governor Abba Yusuf won his appeal. What is going on in Nigeria?

    “Nigerians have lost faith in the judiciary system but NNPP will not give up. I hereby call on the National Judicial Commission to thoroughly investigate this matter and ensure that only the truth is revealed.”

    The NNPP chieftain also urged the people of Kano not to engage in violence.

    “I urge the people of Kano to remain calm, I have receive reports of protest and violence in some areas. I feel the pains of the people of Kano but we must remain civil. The NJC and the Supreme Court know that they are now being monitored from all over the world and I am confident that they won’t disappoint Nigerians. The people of Kano have chosen NNPP and no amount of corruption can change that.”

    The NNPP National Working Committee (NWC) has also broken its silence over the issue.

    The NNPP Acting National Chairman, Abba Kawu Ali, who spoke with journalists said: “We are calling on the National Judicial Council (NJC), to without delay commence investigation to unravel what happened in the matter.

    “We are calling on eminent members of the bench (both retired and serving) and the bar, to be interested in what happened that we have the kind of scenario presented in the CTC of the judgement of the Appeal Court.

    ”In addition we call on leaders, elders and other major Stakeholders in the Nigerian project, including the media, to step into this matter to avert the danger this type of signal from the judiciary portends for our democracy in particular, and our country in general.

    “From the scenario presented by the judgement, it is crystal clear that something is wrong somewhere and the onus is on all of us as Nigerians to unearth the riddle.”
