Akinderu-Fatai again wins Commissioner of the Year

Lagos State Commissioner for Housing, Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, has, again, been recognised as the Commissioner of the Year at the 18th Africa International Housing Show in Abuja.

A statement by the Chief Public Affairs Officer, Ministry of Housing, Adesile Rufai, said the 18th Africa International Housing Show brought together industry experts, policymakers and stakeholders to discuss housing solutions and strategies.

According to the organiser, the Commissioner of the Year award acknowledges outstanding contributions and leadership in the housing sector.

The organisers said Lagos State Commissioner for Housing clinched the award for his commitment in addressing housing challenges, innovative solutions and dedication to providing affordable housing for all.

The award was received on behalf of the commissioner by the Senior Public Affairs Officer, Ministry of Housing, Mrs. Rahmatallah Adedo and a Public Affairs Officer, Mrs. Abibat Junaid.

For Akinderu-Fatai, it was a second accolade in two years, as he also won Housing Commissioner of the Year award organised by the Africa Housing Awards (AHA) last December.

Reacting to the honour, Akinderu-Fatai said: “I am humbled to receive this esteemed award. It is a testament to our administration’s tireless efforts to transform the housing landscape in Lagos State. We will continue to work towards ensuring every citizen has access to decent and affordable housing.”

He dedicated the award to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for giving him the platform and believing in his ability to deliver on the mandate given to him.
