    Alli lauds Folarin’s selflessness, transparency at 60

    Senator Sharafadeen Alli (Oyo South) has congratulated All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the 2023 general elections, Sen. Teslim Folarin on his 60th birthday.

    He described Folarin as a dedicated public servant, saying his contributions to political growth of Oyo State and Nigeria can not be overemphasized.

    A statement by Alli’s Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas described Folarin as true statesman and champion for the masses.

    Folarin, a former Senate Leader and three-term lawmaker from Oyo Central Senatorial District, is the Ikolaba Olubadan of Ibadanland

    Alli said Folarin is a man of integrity and a rare gem in the world of politics, adding that as a three-term senator, Folarin gave his best to ensure that his constituents enjoy dividends of democracy.

    He noted that Folarin has attracted several developmental projects to his constituency and the state at large.

    The lawmaker said Folarin’s leadership style has been characterised by selflessness, dedication, and transparency, earning him the respect as well as admiration of his peers.

    He noted that Folarin has continued to contribute to the party’s growth and development, adding his patriotic zeal has endeared him to many across the state.

    He celebrated Folarin on his special day, wishing him many more years of sound health, peace, and prosperity.

    Alli however prayed that his contributions would continue to positively impact the lives of Nigerians, especially the people of Oyo State.

    Oyo Senator Alli mourns APC women leader

    Senator Sharafadeen Alli (Oyo South) has described the death of Princess Adebowale Atoyebi, the All Progressive Congress (APC) Women leader in Oyo North as a great loss to the family and the party.

    The deceased was reported to have died in the early hours of Thursday, few years after the death of her father, the Alamodu of Ago-Amodu, Oba Lawal Oyetola Adebowale.

    A statement by Alli Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas described the deceased as a dedicated and selfless leader who worked tirelessly towards the development of Oyo State as well as Nigeria.

    The statement, reads: “It is with heavy hearts that we receive the news of the passing of Princess Adebowale Adenike Atoyebi, the APC Women Leader in Oyo North Senatorial District, her demise is a great loss to our party and to the Nigerian political landscape.”

    The lawmaker said the late Atoyebi was a trailblazer for women in politics, a champion of the marginalised and beacon of hope for the people of Oyo North.

    He stated that the late Atoyebi’s legacy as a passionate and committed leader would live on, adding she will always be remembered for her unwavering commitment their great party.

    Alli however extended condolences to the late Atoyebi’s family, friends, colleagues and the entire APC family in Oyo State, praying that God grants them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and grant the deceased eternal rest in His bosom.
