    ANFASSC applauds Super Eagles’ bronze medal finish at AFCON 2025

    The Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) has commended  the Super Eagles’  bronze medal finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, following a disciplined and resilient performance against Egypt in the third-place playoff.

    ANFASSC  in a statement said   the result represented a fitting conclusion to Nigeria’s AFCON campaign and reflects the team’s consistency, mental strength, and competitive maturity at the continental level.

    “Throughout the tournament, the Super Eagles demonstrated tactical organisation, commitment, and a strong sense of national duty, qualities that resonated with Nigerians at home and across the diaspora. The bronze medal finish further reinforces Nigeria’s enduring presence among Africa’s leading football nations and provides a solid platform for future progress,” the outfit  said.

    ANFASSC acknowledged the coordinating role played by the National Sports Commission and the constructive engagement of relevant sports authorities and stakeholders during the competition. The collaborative approach adopted throughout AFCON 2025 contributed to improved structure, communication, and operational stability, particularly in areas relating to supporter organisation and matchday coordination.

    Recall that during the third-place match and across the tournament, ANFASSC maintained a structured and disciplined presence, providing continuous and purposeful support that reflected national unity and pride. This effort was strengthened by ongoing engagement with institutional partners and fellow supporters’ groups, reinforcing a shared responsibility to represent Nigeria positively on the international stage.

    Following  the  conclusion of AFCON 2025, ANFASSC has  reiterated  its readiness to build on the working relationships established during the competition.

    “ The club remains committed to deeper collaboration with the National Sports Commission, sports authorities, and partners in strengthening organised supporters’ engagement, enhancing logistical planning, and supporting Nigerian teams more effectively in future international competitions,” the body noted. “ANFASSC remains resolute in its mission to support Nigerian athletes with unity, discipline and purpose while contributing meaningfully to the long-term development and global perception of Nigerian sports.”

    The Authentic Nigeria Football & Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) has arrived in Morocco, led by its National President, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, in order to rally support for Super Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025.

    The delegation includes passionate supporters, coordinators, organisers and the ANFASSC driver of vibes, the instrumentalists, prepared to deliver the traditional Nigerian fan energy that has been integral to the Super Eagles’ campaigns for decades.

    The arrival in Morocco follows ANFASSC’s earlier reaffirmation of unwavering support for the Super Eagles at AFCON 2025. Despite institutional challenges reported in the lead-up to the tournament, the club’s commitment remains firm and driven by patriotism, unity, and authentic Nigerian support for the national team.

    Addressing members upon arrival, Ogunjimi stated that ANFASSC’s mission in Morocco is not just to watch the Super Eagles play, but to feel every moment with them, bringing the rhythm, energy, and soul that Nigeria is known for: from the heartfelt chants to the beating drums, brass instruments, and spirited songs. These musical elements, often referred to by supporters as the “driver of vibes”, are central to the Nigerian fan experience and help lift the team’s spirit inside and outside the stadium.

    “In times of pressure,”  Ogunjimi said, “Nigeria’s supporters have always turned up for our team with heart, unity, and pride. That tradition travels with us to Morocco; every chant, every beat, every flag, and every voice is here to carry the Super Eagles forward.”

    ANFASSC’s presence comes at a strategic moment, as the Super Eagles prepare to face tough group matches and pursue continental glory.     The Authentic Nigeria Football & Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) was honoured at the Big Sport Dialogue held today in Ikoyi.

    The delegation, led by the ANFASSC National President, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, made a remarkable impression as the supporters’ band opened the event with an exceptional rendition of the Nigerian National Anthem.

    The event hosted some of Nigeria’s most influential sports figures, including Mallam Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC); Hon. Bukola Olopade, Director-General of the NSC; Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu, Director-General, National Institute of Sports; Mike Itemuagbor, veteran sports marketing expert; Igoche Mark, leading basketball promoter; Arabinrin Aderonke Atoyebi, seasoned journalist; Rufai Oseni, Arise TV host; Amaju Pinnick, former NFF President; Barr. Chris Green, Rivers State Sports Commissioner; Aisha Falode, respected sports caster and NFF board member; Steve Oshio; Abubakar Lawal; Bashire Are; Dr. Reuben Abati, respected journalist; and Osaze Ebueku, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee.

    One of the standout moments of the event came when the ANFASSC President, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, asked former NFF President and CAF Vice President, Amaju Pinnick, a question that echoed the thoughts of many Nigerians: What impact has his position at CAF made on Nigerian sports as a whole?

    Throughout the dialogue, participants reaffirmed their confidence in the leadership of the NSC Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko, and the Director-General, Hon. Bukola Olopade. Attendees described their partnership as a powerful and promising combination with the potential to reshape the Nigerian sports industry. However, there was also a reminder that without collective support and proper implementation of their ideas, even this exceptional team could face challenges in driving the transformative changes the sector needs.

    The collaboration, led by ANFASSC President, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, and Nigeria Community Morocco President, Pere Noel Ageli, signals a renewed effort to build an organized, connected and passionate base of Nigerian football fans beyond the country’s borders.

    The partnership aims to ensure that Nigerians living in Morocco are actively involved in cheering for the national team during the playoff encounter, fostering a sense of unity and patriotism even thousands of miles away from home.

    According to the supporters body, the move is not just about matchday excitement but a deliberate strategy to sustain the culture of organized support and global fan engagement that ANFASSC has become known for over the years.

    The President of Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC), Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi has been awarded the Best Performing President of Sports Supporters’ Club in Nigeria.

    The award came courtesy the Sport Legendary Awards platform in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

    The organizers made it known that the ANFASSC President was considered for the award due to his unwavering commitment to supporting sports in Nigeria.

    ANFASSC is the only Supporters’ Club in the country not stereotyped to supporting football National teams, Prince Ogunjimi and his team have taken their game to other arms of sport in the country, with the aim of giving other sports a sense of belonging.

    The ANFASSC number one man after picking up the award made it known that it’s a call to do more in his field.

    “Thanks to everyone believing in this brand, when we started, we had a dream of taking our game across board, it’s now a reality and we won’t stop building.

    “Thanks to the organizers for the recognition, we look forward to doing more in our own way.”

    He dedicated the award to all members, family and friends of ANFASSC.

    Prince Ogunjimi further stated that ANFASSC is already gearing up for several sporting events in 2024, he said his team will be present in Cote D’Ivoire to support the Super Eagles and also be in Ghana and Paris for the African Games and the Olympic Games.

    Ahead of next International window for  Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) has confirmed that it’s newly manufactured attires have gone on sale.

    The National President of ANFASSC, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi who confirmed the development, said the current set of apparels are the most unique and beautiful in the history of the supporters club.

    He said the jerseys and tracksuits will distinguish Nigerian supporters when the Super Eagles return to duty.

    He also assured that the jerseys and tracksuits which were manufactured abroad are of top quality, he added that it’s not only for members of ANFASSC as non members can also buy.

    The ANFASSC Supremo stressed that the first set of buyers will get it at a cheaper rate since 30 percent discount has been activated on sales.

    Meanwhile, a club statement made it known that non members can make a pre order for the newly designed wears which are available in different Green and White shape via the club’s website. While all the gears  are also available for sale at the Club’s Secretariat in  Surulere, Lagos.
