    Bullet fragments still in my head after 2019 gun attack – Angela Okorie

    Actress Angela Okorie has updated fans on her health struggles, revealing that she’s undergoing a series of medical tests due to complications from a past gun attack.

    According to Angela, fragments of bullet pellets are still lodged in her head, and some continue to surface over time.

    She’s been experiencing health issues for two weeks, prompting her doctor to advise bed rest.

    Angela, despite the challenges, expresses gratitude and faith, attributing her survival to God’s mercy.

    “The last two weeks have been so hectic, lovers. It’s been one hospital or the other running some series of tests on my head and body, and I haven’t been feeling too well, so my doctor advised I should be placed on bed rest. Seriously, good health is underestimated.

    “I went for my check ups, it was found that there are still fragments of bullet pellets on my head, as years goes by more still comes out but at the end. It is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” God is with me no doubt and may his name be praised amen,” she said.

    In December 2019, the actress said she was attacked by “assassins who left ten bullets in my head”.

    “The assassins kept on shooting for 30 minutes, No help from anywhere. No human came for our rescue. Only God came for our rescue,” she added

    Okorie also appreciated the recent invitation extended to her by the police and pledged to keep promoting the image and integrity of the Force.

    She wrote: “Happy New Month, Nigeria! Happy New month, NPF! I, Angela Okorie, Legit Queen, want to take this opportunity to reassure the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the entire Nigerian public of my unwavering respect and high regard for the Nigeria Police.

    Recall that the Nigeria Police Force had launched an investigation into a viral video showing actress Angela Okorie being escorted by armed police officers while jogging.

    The Force said this incident is inconsistent with professional standards.

    In a statement posted last Wednesday on its official X handle, and signed by Force spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police described the officers’ conduct as falling short of the discipline and decorum expected of personnel

    The police have initiated an investigation to identify the officers involved and determine the circumstances surrounding the video.

    According to the statement, the outcome of the investigation will determine the disciplinary action.

    The Force emphasised its commitment to upholding professionalism, discipline, and public trust.

    The statement reads: “The Nigeria Police Force strongly frowns at the conduct of armed police officers seen in a viral video trailing actress Angela Okorie while she jogged—an act considered clearly inconsistent with the professional standards and decorum expected of personnel of the Force. The incident, which appears to have occurred on or around a movie set, has also sparked widespread public concern and criticism.

    “While it remains unclear whether the scene was part of a scripted production, the conduct of the officers seen in the video falls short of the standards expected of members of the Nigeria Police Force.

    “Accordingly, necessary administrative processes have been initiated to identify the officers involved and determine the circumstances surrounding the video, while appropriate disciplinary action will be taken based on the outcome of the review.

    “The Force remains committed to upholding professionalism, discipline, and public trust. Muyiwa Adejobi”.

    She expressed concerns that despite  people complimenting her appearance in person, the quality of photos and videos shared online doesn’t do her justice.

    “Note: bloggers pls, when posting stuff about me on your pages pls, use a good phone, cos I don’t understand why people will see me in real life and testify how good I look and my skin looks, then y’all are using wack ass phones to record me, I don’t like it.

    “Stop it now, I look good even in a broken mirror. No matter how you guys try to make me look in ur wack ass pages, I fu*king look good. Give me some credit. Okay bye”.

    She also revisited their early days in Nollywood, accusing Angela of struggling with her lines and wasting over 20 tapes during film shoots.

    Regina further cautioned Angela against allowing pride to cloud her judgment, stating that her own background does not tolerate disrespect, and reminding her to stay grateful to those who supported her rise.

C’mon girl even you know that’s fiction from the pits. Or you meant begging for support for your project?”

    “Remember your first ever movie role? Was with me and my mama Mercy Johnson where the whole jealousy began because you couldn’t take your lines and wasted over 20 tapes… Even then, the gap was obvious.
