    Anita Joseph confirms marriage split from MC Fish

    Actress Anita Joseph has announced the end of her marriage to Fisayo Olagunju, popularly known as MC Fish.

    In an Instagram post, Joseph revealed that her marriage, which began in 2020, has come to an end, citing a period of deep reflection, pain, and healing.

    The actress, who had frequently shared moments from her relationship with MC Fish on social media, stated that she has chosen to focus on personal growth, faith, and moving forward peacefully.

    She wrote, “Life has a way of testing our strength in ways we never expect, especially in marriage.

    “Lately, I’ve been walking through a season of deep reflection, pain and healing.

    “I may not have all the answers, but I’m choosing grace, growth, and faith one step at a time. Calling a spade a spade, my marriage is over. ogbugianyi! Omere ka Anyi Mara ihe!. Shalom!!”

    Joseph did not disclose the reasons behind the separation, despite rumors circulating about challenges in the marriage.

    Actress Anita Joseph has berated some female podcasters, who often mock the lifestyles of individuals residing on the Mainland.

    Taking to her Instagram page, Anita revealed that she prefers the Mainland, particularly Omole Phase 1 to the Island.

    She disclosed that her husband, MC Fish is the reason she loves the Island.

    Anita said she believes the ladies making such statements are just doing it to trend as she questioned if they know the calibre of people who live on the mainland.

    Actress Anita Joseph has explained how getting married to a hype man, Michael Fisayo, aka MC Fish, has made her a better person.

    Anita, who celebrated her fourth anniversary with her husband, in an interview with Punch,  said: “Marriage has influenced me in a very positive way. I have learnt to be more protective and patient.

    “What matters the most is one’s heart. One’s parents or other family members won’t be in the marriage with you, so it is basically one and one’s spouse forever. So, if one chooses someone from a different tribe, it is okay. One’s happiness comes first.”

    On how she has been coping with the cultural differences considering that she is Igbo and her husband is Yoruba, she said: “My mother-in-law speaks Yoruba to me and I say ‘eshe’ (thank you). I have learnt a bit, though it has not been easy.”

    The role interpreter also stated that despite the disbelief of many in her marriage, she was happy to prove them wrong.

    “As regards my post on Instagram on my wedding anniversary, I wrote that some people and even blogs said that my marriage won’t last, but I ‘sent’ it back to them and their sisters. God’s grace has kept my husband and I together,” she said.

    Joseph recounted a story where her friend faced the consequences of not calling before visiting her boyfriend’s house, leading to the end of their relationship.

    The ex-boyfriend allegedly felt that the unannounced visits were an invasion of his privacy, prompting him to terminate the relationship.

    The actress expressed her disagreement with the idea of having to call before visiting a partner and stated that such a practice might imply a lack of trust and authenticity in the relationship.

    According to Joseph, if a woman has to call every time she intends to visit her boyfriend’s house, it suggests that she is essentially dating herself.
