Media personality Annie Macaulay has shared heartfelt reflections on her journey, expressing hopes that her daughters will learn from her experiences and embrace their worth from an early age.

In an Instagram post, she wrote, “I hope my daughter doesn’t accept things I’ve accepted, that she knows her worth from the start and knows that no matter what, she always has me in her corner.”

Annie also celebrated her hard-won peace and happiness, noting that she had endured and overcome battles unseen by many.

“If you see me happy these days, let me be. I fought battles you’ll never know just to feel this free,” she shared.

She emphasised the importance of growth and resilience, adding, “I don’t revisit what I healed from. Every wound she ever survived became another jewel in her crown.”

According to her, she wants to enjoy this newfound happiness without interference, stating that she’s fought battles that others may not be aware of.

Annie emphasised the importance of moving forward and not dwelling on past hurts, but rather focusing on personal growth, viewing past wounds as experiences that have contributed to her strength and resilience.

Media personality Annie Macaulay has stated that she is focusing on her career amidst public separation from singer 2Baba.

She recently announced the launch of her online TV station, Annie Macaulay TV at the 17th Headies Awards.

According to Annie, the station has already produced a series that will air soon.

“Right now I’m working on my own TV station, my own online TV, Annie Macaulay TV. I want everyone to be ready for different things. We’ve already done a series which will soon air on Annie Macaulay TV, very soon,” she said.

Annie expressed gratitude for family’s support during this period, highlighting her children’s well-being, with her eldest daughter studying abroad.

“My children dey kampe, my family dey kampe. My first daughter is abroad studying, don’t play with her o, don’t play with my kids, they are my backbone,”she said.

Affectionately referring to the children as her “backbone”, Annie has also secured her first ambassadorial deal.

At the Headies Awards, Annie also gave a shout-out to fellow single ladies, sparking reactions online.

2Baba announced their separation in January after 13 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

Actress and media personality Annie Macaulay has officially confirmed her divorce from Nigerian music icon 2Baba.

While co-presenting an award alongside Farooq Oreagba at the 17th Headies Awards, Annie reintroduced herself using her maiden name, “Annie Macaulay.” 

She momentarily stumbled over her former marital name, “Annie Idi…,” before making the declaration, drawing loud cheers from the audience as she gave a shoutout to “single ladies.”

Her public confirmation came after months of speculation, especially after she dropped “Idibia” from her Instagram handle upon returning to social media in March.

The couple officially parted ways in January 2025, when 2Baba announced their separation and filed for divorce. 

Since then, 2Baba has proposed to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru and introduced her to his family, fueling rumours of an upcoming wedding.

Annie and 2Baba were married for 13 years, tying the knot in 2012. 

Their relationship, which started in 1999, produced two daughters, Isabel and Olivia.
