    Six things to know about Annie, 2Face Idibia’s relationship

    Annie and 2Face Idibia’s relationship has been a subject of interest for many Nigerians over the years.

    The celebrity duo met while young and have had their fair share of ups and downs 

     Here are six things to know about their relationship:

    1. How They Met:

    Annie met 2Face at the Even Ezra studiowhen she was just 15 and he was 24.

     Annie has described their initial meeting as a chance encounter that sparked a deep connection. Their innocent friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship many years later.

    “The moment our eyes met at Even Ezra Studios many years ago, I knew you were the one for me and I for you. Innocent is an extraordinary being. It really seems like yesterday, (can’t believe he is 40 already) he was 24 and I was 15. And I still see the same man when I look at him. So full of life. So much energy. He is always so optimistic about life. He is never afraid of the next day with the little or nothing he had.”

    2. Annie’s Life Before 2Face:

    Before meeting 2Face, Annie was a young girl with big dreams. Annie was born in Ibadan but is originally from Eket in Akwa Ibom State. She moved to Lagos State with her mother after the divorce of her parents. She attended secondary school in Lagos and  holds a degree in Computer Science and Theatre Arts after completing undergraduate courses at Lagos State University and the University of Lagos respectively.

    3. 2Face’s children:

    2Face has seven children from Annie and his previous relationships, five boys and two girls, with the oldest being 20 years old. Annie has always been a loving and supportive partner to 2Face and his children. She often spoke about the importance of family and the need to prioritize love and understanding.

    While on an interview she said, “When one meets someone and one realises that one knew them first, yet one sees different women having babies for him. Then, he has five kids with other women. My first child is his fifth and I met him before the other women that have children for him. (Do) you know how many humiliation and embarrassments (I’ve faced)? How does one repeat the same mistake twice? I was hurt. Even when he was engaged…but, that is a story for another day.

    “It is painful (sharing him with other women) and it hurts. (However), the good times are so much more (than the bad), and I still have forever (to spend) with him and make up for the bad times. People actually abuse the word, ‘love’. Love is more than what people say it is.”

    4. Their Wedding: 

    Annie and 2Face tied the knot on the 2nd of May 2012, in a private ceremony in Dubai. The wedding was a beautiful celebration of their love, surrounded by close friends and family. Annie looked stunning in her white wedding gown, while 2Face wore a tailored tuxedo. The couple’s wedding was widely covered in the media, with many Nigerians celebrating their love.

    5. Annie’s Career:

    Annie Idibia is a talented actress and model. She has appeared in several Nollywood films, including “Pleasure and Crime” and “Blackberry Babes.” 

    Annie had earlier competed in the “Queen of All Nations” beauty pageant where she placed as a runner-up. She subsequently featured in the music video of 2face Idibia’s “African Queen” song.

    She was nominated in the “Best Supporting Actress” category at the 2009 Best of Nollywood Awards.

    6. Blended Family and Renewal of Vows:

    Despite the challenges of their blended family, Annie and 2Face have renewed their vows to each other. The actress wrote on her Instagram page: Yes fam, a guy (2Baba) and I renewed our vows. 10 years anniversary! “It was very intimate but we wanted to also share it with the whole world. I’ll post pics and videos.

    “Enjoy the show, but don’t judge me too much”. 

    Unfortunately, the couple has been separated for a while now, and 2Face has come out to social media to announce their divorce plans.

    Online fans and in-laws are not in anyway receptive of the recent development and have expressed their opinions.

    ANNIE, Nollywood actress and better half of music sensation, Tuface Idibia, is definitely in high heavens. The mother of one has added another baby girl to the family of the multiple award-winning music star.

    Annie gave birth in far away Atlanta, U.S. The couple got married in March 2013, and already have a 5-year-old daughter, Isabella. The tinytot is Tuface’s seventh child having fathered other children from his previous babymamas, Sumbo Ajaba and Pero Adeniyi.

  • Annie Okonkwo joins Anambra governorship race

    The National Interim Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Annie Okonkwo, has resigned to join the Anambra State governorship race.

    He threw his hat into the ring yesterday at Emmaus House in Awka at a meeting attended by another aspirant, Sir Godwin Ezeemo.

    Okonkwo said there was no provision for godfatherism and imposition of any candidate, adding that they would all contest for the position.

    He said: “Go to your wards and local governments to be fishers of members. God wants to use APC to liberate the people and indeed Anambra.

    “APC has no provision for a consensus candidate; the party has no provision for imposition of anybody as its candidate. Some people are looking forward to impose themselves as demi gods, it will not work in APC.

    “I am contesting the governorship of Anambra State and some individuals have been telling you different stories about me.

    “Do not listen to anybody. Based on the constitution of our party, I have resigned as deputy national chairman.”

    Okonkwo said he wants the party to restore the lost glory of Anambra State, adding that only APC would save democracy in Nigeria.

    Ezeemo said everybody should prepare to vote for who ever they want to rule them.

    He said: “I am not desperate to be governor but APC has come to take Anambra to the next level. What is left is to join hands together to achieve this aim.”

    Ezeemo warned some people who are still selling forms to innocent persons using the name of merged parties to stop it, describing the action as fraudulent.

    “I must admit” he said, “I have been particularly lucky and blessed for what I got in my wife, Chinyere, because I married my childhood friend and first love, and therefore consider it an honour to indulge her a little as she glides her way to the golden club”. Meanwhile, Lady Chinyere, who is visibly radiant, trim and relaxed, said her style of celebration for all the love she has gotten, is to thank God with melodies of praise and raise toasts to her friends and family for their abiding affection.

    WEEKS after tying the nuptial knots with 2face, news began to make the rounds about Annie Idibia being pregnant. The newly weds had barely gotten the honeymoon over with when reports began to surface that Annie had taken in again for 2face.

    But the actress waved aside the report asking if she looked pregnant when probed at an event recently. “Do I look pregnant to you? No, I’m not” was her blunt response. The couple currently have one daughter, Isabella (aged 6) together. It has been about six weeks since 2face and Annie tied the knot.

    And after performing traditional rites in Eket, Akwa-Ibom, Dubai was the next port-of-call with some of the biggest names on the Nigerian entertainment scene flying all the way to the UAE (United Arab Emirates) to celebrate with the couple at their fairy-tale white wedding.

    THE biggest celebrity marriage happened two days back between music superstar 2face Idibia and his heartthrob of many years, Annie Macaulay. The two were joined together as man and wife in a traditional wedding ceremony which held on Friday at the Apostolic High School, Esit Urua Community, Eket-Ibeno Road, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, the bride’s hometown.

    The celebrities who thronged the venue were seen clad in aso ebi of crème and red for the ladies while the men wore white and gold wrapper. At the event had the likes of Iyanya, Kate Henshaw, Sound Sultan and other invited guests. The after party is slated to hold in Uyo much later tonight.
