    Aquafina, Nigeria’s leading premium drinking water, has launched its new television commercial (TVC), “Better with Your Padi of Life.” The TVC which starred some of Nigeria’s finest influencers was crafted to tell an exciting yet compelling narrative of how and why Aquafina is beyond water but a true padi of life.

    Premiered on Africa’s biggest reality TV Show, Big Brother Naija, the TVC reaffirmed Aquafina’s commitment to nurturing meaningful connections while cherishing and celebrating moments with family and friends.

    The new Aquafina TVC features its brand ambassadors which include Nollywood icon Kate Henshaw, and its young stars Jide Kene, Munachi Abii, Jemima Osunde, Guinness world record winner Hilda Baci and social influencer and medical doctor, Dr. Chinoso Egemba popularly known as Aproko Doctor in various scenes celebrating friendship and moments of success while emphasizing the importance of a true Padi of Life in all of life’s moments.

    The visuals and narrative of the “Better with Your Padi of Life” TVC pay tribute to Aquafina’s role in encouraging meaningful lifetime connections and spotlights Aquafina’s role as the ultimate padi of life. The 60-second commercial takes viewers through scenes that depict celebratory and heartwarming moments among friends.

    Sam Okolie, Senior Brand Manager, Seven-Up Bottling Company (SBC), highlighted that the new creative masterpiece was developed to reflect Aquafina’s commitment to promoting and celebrating meaningful connections and friendships. He expressed excitement about sharing this uplifting experience with Nigerian consumers.

The joyous feeling of celebrating accomplishments with others and spending time with friends paired while being refreshed and hydrated.     How Stephen, Tobi won Aquafina Elie Model 2017

    Days after they were crowned winners of the 10th edition of the Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria, Stephen Aladenika and  Tobi Momoh,  winners in the male and female categories respectively are still  savouring their success of the night.   They beat 18 other finalists, receiving a cash prize of N1m each from the sponsors – Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc, makers of Aquafina table water, in addition to an opportunity to represent Nigeria in the Elite Model Look international competition later in the year.

    Attended by notable celebrities and fashionistas, the night of glamour though started behind schedule, it made up for the lost time, as the well-decorated venue in Aquafina’s sky blue brand colour was filled with excitement once the contestants filed out to model attires from several fashion houses, including Mai Atafo, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi and Sisiano that clothed the contestants, and Andrea Iyamah, that made the girls’ swim wears and the boys’ trunks.

    After nearly two hours of strutting on the runway, the judges, made up of former Miss World, Agbani Darego, Norden Thurston of Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc and Veronica Odeka picked Stephen and Tobi as winners.

    Stephen literally collapsed on stage when he was announced winner, only to be helped to his feet with tears of joy streaming down his face.

    Last year’s winners, Davidson Obennebo and Omoh Momoh were on ground to recount their experiences and to encourage the contestants.  In fact, Davidson won the World Contest in 2016, becoming the first African to win the Elite Model Look international contest.

    Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria 2017 to hold October

    The 2017 edition of the Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria will hold on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

    The competition, in the last 10 years, has played an immense role in placing the African modelling industry on the global map.

    The theme for this year’s competition is Africa Rising: Haute Couture and the aim is to showcase the potential of Haute Couture in Africa to the world through fashion pieces and catwalks.

    The internationally recognised competition is known for discovering supermodels such as; Cindy Crawford, Gisele Bundchen, Alessandra Ambrosio including Nigerian supermodels such as Chika Emmanuella, Mayowa Nicholas, Victor Ndigwe and recently Davidson Obennebo, who was the first African to win the world finale in the last 33 years.

    Part of the vision of Elite Model Look Nigeria is to make modelling dreams come true, inspire African youths and this year with the 10th anniversary, the focus is not only to impact lives through modelling but also to promote a new generation of great African youths.

    WHO WINS AQUAFINA ELITE MODEL TONIGHT?

    TWENTY male and female models will tonight strut the Grand Ballroom of the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos to compete for the 2016 Aquafina Elite Model Look International. The competition aims to showcase notable talents in the modelling, fashion and music industry.

    The selected contestants have been groomed in fitness training, makeovers, nutrition lectures, professional photo sessions and rehearsals for the finale.

    Two winners will emerge and they will go on to represent Nigeria in the Elite Model Look International competition scheduled to hold in Milan, Italy in November. They stand a chance of winning $150,000 USD at Elite Model Look International world finals.

    The event which has Aquafina as its major sponsor attracted over 1, 000 young Nigerians to Lagos. Of this lot, images of 60 contestants were selected and the list further pruned to 20. Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria is organised by Beth Model Management in conjunction with Upfront & Personal.

    Last year, Damilola Okunola and Funmilayo Akinjiola emerged winners of the Aquafina Elite Model Look competition.

    International models such as Cindy Crawford (USA), Tatjana Patitz (Germany) and Stephanie Seymour (USA) are all products of the Elite Model Look.

  • Funmilayo, Damilola win Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria

    IT was a moment of victory, celebration and excitement for Miss Funmilayo Akinjuola and Damilola Okunola as they were crowned winners of the 2015 edition of the Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria. They beat 18 other contestants to win five thousand dollars prize each in the female and male categories at the grand finale last Sunday in Lagos.

    Filing out several times in different outfits including swimwear designed by Oranhe Culture, Meena, Sunny Rose, Papa Omisore Collection (POC) and Kimono Kollection, the 20 contestants strutted on the runway. At the end, the judges – Ezinne Chinkata, Agbani Darego, Bola Balogun, Lakin Ogunbanwo and Norden Thurston – chose the duo as winners.

    Aside fashion, the night was also spiced with musical performances by Shaydee, Toni Tone and Banky W.

    Speaking at the event, Managing Director, Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc, Mr. Sunil Sawhney, described the partnership between Aquafina and Elite Model Look as that of the largest and fastest growing premium table water in the world and the best model event in the universe.

    “We truly believe in the youth of Nigeria and that through Seven-Up brands, Nigerian youth can make their dreams come true,” Sawhney said, while congratulating Funmilayo and Damilola. “I am sure they will make the brand and the country proud as they storm China to contest at the Elite Model International competition.”

    Funmilayo, a 17-year old 100 level student of University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State, described her mother as her biggest supporter and influence. “I was told I have the potential and my mum kept encouraging me to go for my dream,” she cooed in excitement.

    Damilola, 19, winner in the male category, who was in the competition for the third time, said though he was weak at the initial stages but had improved during the processes. Damilola who thanked Aquafina for transforming his life through the Elite Model competition said that he worked on his weight to qualify and make it to the final.

    Both Damilola and Funmilayo will participate in the Elite Model Look World Finals in China.

    Elite Model Look is the most renowned international modeling competition in the world. It is unique in providing the opportunity for young boys and girls to enter the fashion and modeling world.

    Aquafina from the makers of Pepsi brand have been the lead sponsors of this prestigious model search for the last three years. Other platforms provided by the company also include Pepsi Football Academy and 7Up Harvard Business School.

    Aquafina Elite Model Look begins in Lagos

    THOUSANDS of beautiful girls and handsome boys showcased style, elegance and glamour on the runway, as casting for the prestigious international modelling event, Aquafina Elite Model Look 2015 took place at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, last weekend.

    The show produced 30 contestants who have been selected for camping, and out of which 20 will later be picked.

    Last year’s winners, Victor Ndigwe and Mayowa Nicolas were part of the panellists that made the selection from thousands who thronged the venue for the chance to be international models and both currently have modelling contracts with Elite Model in France.

    The chosen 20, according to the organisers, will compete on the big stage at the final event of Aquafina Elite Model Look, in Lagos.

    Head of Marketing, Seven-up Bottling Company Plc, Mr. Norden Thurston, said: “Aquafina Premium Drinking Water and Elite Model Look is a perfect partnership. This is the third year of this relationship and Aquafina is happy to be part of this platform that celebrates inner beauty because real beauty is pure and comes from within.”
