    Aradel Holdings marks 20 years of production

    Aradel Holdings Plc, Nigeria’s integrated independent energy company, has marked 20 years of continuous and safe production from its flagship asset, the Ogbele Field, located in PML 14, Rivers State.

    The 20-year milestone, industry operators said, reflects the company’s resilience, innovation, and commitment to delivering long-term value to all stakeholders and driving economic growth in Nigeria.

    They based their submission on the basis that over the last two decades, Aradel has evolved from a single-asset/single-field producer into an integrated, multi-asset operator with operations across the hydrocarbon value chain.

    The Chairman, Aradel Holdings, Osten Olorunsola said: “Aradel is a true success story in the Nigerian energy landscape, and our journey demonstrates what can be achieved when vision, resilience, and commitment come together. This progress has only been possible because of the service and collaboration of all stakeholders, including our host communities, and we sincerely appreciate everyone who has been part of this milestone.”

    In  a similar vein, the MD/CEO, Adegbite Falade, noted that: “The Ogbele story highlights the vital role indigenous operators play in strengthening Nigeria’s energy security, stimulating the local economy and building capacity to meet the nation’s energy needs. As we look to the next 20 years of continuous production, we remain committed to the core values that made this milestone possible. At Aradel, we are energised for a brighter future.”

    Aradel Holdings, NLNG seal new gas supply deal

    Aradel Gas Limited, a subsidiary of Aradel Holdings Plc, has signed a gas Supply Agreement (GSA) to supply additional gas to the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) through the Shell Nigeria Gas (SNG) and NNPC Gas Marketing Limited (NGML) partnership.

    Industry stakeholders hailed this development as a major boost for the country’s energy transition agenda and support for the Federal Government’s gas reforms aimed at strengthening energy security whilst driving economic growth.

    Commenting on the signing, the MD/CEO of Aradel Holdings Plc, Adegbite Falade, said: “We are happy to sign an agreement that guarantees the supply of additional gas volumes to NLNG through the SNG-NGML Partnership. As the energy landscape continues to evolve, natural gas remains central to our growth strategy and the broader transition to cleaner energy.

    At Aradel, our expansion plans are closely aligned with the Federal Government’s initiatives on domestic gas supply, energy transition, and leverage of gas for Nigeria’s industrial growth.”

    A statement from the firm noted that Aradel Holdings Plc has consistently invested in infrastructure to unlock the full potential of its assets. It explained that through its 100 mmscf/d gas processing plant that was commissioned in 2012, the Company harnesses and commercialises its gas resources, contributing to domestic gas supply and cleaner energy. It further said that as part of its dedication to environmental sustainability, Aradel has eliminated routine gas flaring at the Ogbele facility since 2012 and was the first non-JV gas supplier to the NLNG.

    To foster indigenous expertise for the benefit of the local sector, the top management of Aradel Holdings Plc have paid a courtesy call on the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Felix Omatsola Ogbe, at the NCDMB office.

    Chief Executive Officer, Aradel Holdings Plc, Adegbite Falade, congratulated Ogbe on his appointment.

    With the CEO were the senior executives of the Aradel, the General Manager, Refineries, Temitayo Ogunbanjo; Group General Counsel, Titi Omisore; General Manager – Engineering and Projects, Femi Olaniyan; Manager – Contracting and Procurement, Chukwuma Nkwodinmah; Technical Assistant to the CEO, Damilola Yahaya; and Media Lead, Victoria Humphrey.

    The Executive Secretary was supported by the Director, Project Certification, Abayomi Bamidele; Director, Finance & Personnel, Ifeanyi Ukoha; Manager, Procurement, Tari Bribena; Senior Technical Assistant to the Executive Secretary Mofe Megbele; and Personal Assistant to the Executive Secretary, Jephthah Vincent.

    Giving the company’s overview, Falade emphasised Aradel’s strong commitment to local content, stating that from when it commenced operations in 2005, to date, the company’s workforce has been 100 per cent Nigerian, thereby creating tremendous value as an indigenous company.
