    Davido Nigeria’s ‘most influential’ person – Asa Asika

    Davido’s manager Asa Asika, has boasted of his client’s influence, stating that the Grammy-nominated singer is the most influential person in Nigeria.

    Asika, who spoke during a recent podcast interview, said, Davido’s impact extends far beyond the music industry, referencing his ability to attract top-tier brand partnerships and his massive following.

    He said: “The only two guys who are apart from obviously the producer and writers that are allowed to come to that house were diplo and chris brown wow Chris Brown because obviously that’s david’s guy diplo is my friend and he lives in malibu david’s band is mad influential david is probably i don’t care anybody says i think david is the most influential person in nigeria You might be like, and this one is not the thing of like, I’ve seen this first time”.

    Asika emphasised that Davido’s influence is evident in how he seamlessly aligns with various brands, having successfully partnered with major companies across different sectors.

    “I don’t think there’s a brand that has a deal with Davido as of today that isn’t aligned to his brand or we haven’t found a way to align it into his brand,” he added.

    Davido’s manager, Asa Asika, has claimed that Afrobeats would have achieved greater success if major artists like Wizkid, Davido, and others had collaborated on a song.

    According to Asika in a viral video said a joint project would have increased global ticket sales and further elevated the Afrobeats genre.

    “Our genre would’ve being bigger if Wizkid, Davido and everybody who was popping at that point were all collaborating, I might be wrong but the probability of our genre being bigger and more successful even stronger in terms of ticket values and shows being stronger will be a thing,” he said.

    The statement sparked a heated debate with some fans agreeing that a collaboration between Afrobeats’ biggest stars would have been monumental, while others argue that each artist has already made significant contributions to the genre’s global recognition.

    34-Year-Old Asa Asika is set to walk down the aisle with the love of his life. The loverbirds are said to have been officially engaged and are looking forward to their wedding very soon.

    The Nigerian talent manager, best known as Davido’s manager, and also the co-founder of The Plug and The Block Party Series, is over the moon with his lover, whose identity was given as Leona Adesanya.

    Leona is an entrepreneur known to have created companies that include The Cloud Factory, Anoela cards, Anoela print and Phatleo paints.

    This is coming months after Davido announced plans to hold a white wedding with Chioma in Lagos later in 2025.

    Asa Asika, the manager of Grammy-nominated singer Davido, has explained why his boss rarely collaborates with Wizkid and Burna Boy.

    This was a response to the question from Davido’s music lovers.

    During his recent appearance on the Ventes Rap show, the interviewer asked:

    “How come we don’t see Davido featuring Burna Boy or Wizkid?”

    He replied: “There have been collaborations, Burna Boy and Wizkid have a song, Davido and Kizz Daniel have a song, Davido and Olamide have a song, Asake is on David’s album, so the big artistes in Nigeria work, they might not collaborate as often but they do. Collaboration is one of the major things that have pushed Afrobeats to where it is.”
