    Ashflame shoots Package video

    Fast rising Afropop act, Olugbenga Samuel aka Ashflame, has continued to blaze the entertainment circuit with the release of the video of his latest single, titled Package.

    Shot in Lekki, Lagos, the video was produced by Dapiano and directed by Ruff Ikonz who has also shot videos for artistes like Kayswitch (Jaburata), Tee Q (Skempele), CDQ (Salaro) and Maido featuring Ice Prince (Wider).

    Thronging the venue to show support for Ashflame, who is signed to Desbor Heartbeat Empire Entertainment, were acts such as Wizzy Pro, Mike Anyasodo (iMike), Deejay Charly Sheen and Mimi Tee.

    Ever since Ashflame made his official debut with his single Sekosi, which was released on May 5, and subsequently Pelemo, receiving acclaim from music buffs and critics alike, the Ondo State indigene has continued his quest in the ever competitive music scene.

    Ever since Olugbenga Samuel a.k.a Ashflame made his official debut with his maiden single ‘Sekosi’ in May, the Ondo State artiste has never looked back.

    Currently basking in the euphoria of his sophomore single titled ‘Pelemo’ which features Small Doctor, he has also initiated a dance competition.

    Speaking on the dance competition, Ashflame, who is signed with Desbor Heartbeat Empire (D.H.B.E) said; “All you need do is to make a one-minute dance video of my first two singles ‘Sekosi’ and ‘Pelemo’. What you do next after making the video is to upload the video on Instagram with the Hashtag #PELEMOCONTEST #SEKOSICONTEST and copy @EMPIREHEARTBEAT and @ASHFLAME47.

    “The winner stands a chance of winning the sum of N100, 000 and will also have the opportunity of featuring on my forthcoming video titled Package which will be shot very soon.”

    Ashflame said he considers music as a means of communication.

    “I have always followed and allowed myself to be influenced by great musicians like George Benson and Fela Anikulapo Kuti,” said AshFlame.

    “I love Jazz too, and you can also find traces of it in most, if not all of my songs.”

    Desbor Heartbeat Empire act AshFlame will be rewarding fans with one hundred thousand naira in a dance competition.

    AshFlame who recently dropped Pelemo which featured Small Doctor, following the successful  outing of his debut single, SeKosi and Go Low, also disclosed that apart from rewarding his fans, the dance competition is a way of promoting the enterprise of the youth.

    “At Heartbeat Empire, we value the support of the youth,” said Ashflame.

    “And the best way to respond the youth for giving us their support is to organise a dance contest where they can be can be a part of and encourage others.”

    To win, fans will take a 60 second video dance step video to the songs and upload to Instagram, using the hashtag, #PelemoContest and #SekosiContest and tag ID @empireheartbeat and @ashflame47.

    The winner which will be selected by a a jury of dance professionals also stand the chance of featuring on the video of AshFlame’s upcoming single titled Package which will drop before December.

    “He or she might play the lead role,” AshFlame said.

    Entries will close on October 30, 2016.

    Fast-rising Afropop artiste Ashflame is currently in the studio working with Shabba The Producer on his sophomore single titled Go Low.

    Ashflame is currently basking in the success of his debut single titled ‘Sekosi’ produced by TPFlex which has been receiving airplay on radio stations.

    The Ondo State born performer who is signed onto Desbor Records owned by Switzerland based Desmond Edobor says he dreams of a collaboration with the iconic 2face Idibia.

    “2Baba has a way of touching lives with his music,” said Ashflame.

    “He is a prophet and I already have a song for him. Working with a person like that will positively affect my music.”

    He also squealed on his crush on Cynthia Morgan.

    When asked what he’ll do if he is behind closed doors with the sexy dancehall artiste, Ashflame retorted thus; “I don’t know but it would be a lot of ash and flames; fire will burn.”

    Ashflame debuts with Sekosi

    Out with a new single titled Sekosi, upcoming Afro-pop artiste Ashflame is set to take on the competitive Nigerian music industry. The song which was produced by TPFlex has been enjoying airplay since it was officially released on May 5, 2016.

    Ashflame whose real name is Olugbenga Samuel is signed on to international music platform Desbor Heartbeat Empire (DHBE). He got his name from the nickname his mother used to call him, ‘Asiwaju’ and ‘Flames’ from what he was called on the streets.

    “I am an expressive person and I have found a veritable tool to express myself, through my passion which is music,” said Ashflame who declared he was influenced by musicians such as George Benson and FelaAnikulapoKuti.

    “I have a serious thing for music such that I had been toying with the idea of taking up music as a profession for a very long time before I decided to take it up officially at the age of 23.”

    Switzerland-based DHBE with partners in other European countries was formed by Desmond Edobor. The label also has a branch office in Nigeria.

    Sounding optimistic about his future with DHBE, Ashflame said: “My record label has been there for me all this while and they are the backbone and heartbeat that makes me aspire and dream to become the best I can be as an artiste.”
