The Chief Executive Officer Adams Events, Austin Okpara has asked entertainers and fans to appreciate the contributions of show promoters to the entertainment industry.
Okpara noted that they (promoters) play an integral part in the entertainment value chain.
In a statement by his Media Handler, Fidel Oseghale Okpara said promoters were concerned that their efforts are seldom appreciated despite their expertise in ensuring live shows are successful and the fact that they are responsible for the value and success of any event.
He stressed that despite the time, effort and resources that promoters put into successfully packaging a live show, they are still seldom appreciated and underpaid.
The All Adams Event boss particularly acknowleged the immense contribution of his colleagues, 16:Xisten Events and Engraced Events, for remaining steadfast in the game, saying their resilience has given the entertainment industry in Benin a new lease of life.
He said: “The emergence of these young and bright minds further attest to the fact that show business has a chance to blossom in the state. With Smith and Engraced on board and producing some of the top shows, there is hope that one day others will join the fray and make the area of show production a specialised aspect of the entertainment value chain.
“I for one as an All Adams entity has produced some of the biggest shows for some of the top entertainers in the Niger Delta Region and the records are there to show.
“In the same vein I vouch for these two companies because we have worked on the same projects on countless occasions and the output of our collaboration can rival any big event anywhere in the country.”
Okpara noted that his company has a number of events lined up for the remaining part of the year, saying that he will keep his fans posted as they unfold.
