    AY, 2Baba, Gbenga Adeyinka, Small Doctor and others added glamour to the 2019 Easter weekend to residents of Lagos and Ibadan with AY Live and Laff Mattaz.

    AY Live and Laff Mattaz which witnessed the perfect blend of music and comedy held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos and the iconic Jogor Centre on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019, respectively.

    For six years, Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st, the self-proclaimed Grand Comedian of the Federal Republic (GCFR) has been going around the South West, sharing happiness through his Laff Mattaz comedy show courtesy of premium malt drink, Maltina. AY Live on the other hand, has for over four years, been powered by the nation’s favourite malt drink, in a bid to foster its stance on sharing happiness.

    Fulfilling the promise to make everyone in attendance smile, laugh out loud and forget their worries for at least 24 hours were music and comedy superstars-DJ Jimmy Jatt, 2Baba, Ruggedy Baba, Chinko Ekun, Omobaba, Alariya, Terry G, the Small Doctor, Chi Young, Madiba of Comedy, Shete, Akpororo, Funny Bone, Helen Paul, Dr Smile and Peteru, who delivered great doses of music, humor and excitement to the people of Lagos and Ibadan.

    Laff Mattaz has been the biggest family event for the people of Ibadan over the last six years like AY Live in Lagos, with Maltina sharing happiness at the different shows.

    Speaking on this, the Portfolio Manager, Non-alcoholic drinks, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Ngozi Nkwoji, said:

    AY Live: Celebrities, fans light up event

    Popular Comedian ‘AY’, real name Ayo Makun and his celebrity friends in the entertainment industry, thrilled their fans with a superlative performances in a live comedy show tagged ‘AY LIVE’.

    The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that, it was a pumped up night at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, venue of the staged show on Easter Sunday.

    From the biggest names in entertainment, corporate world to comedy and music lovers, all came to have a good Easter celebration time and party at the AYLIVE.

    Tickets, regulars, VIP and VVIP and a million naira-priced tables were sold out.

    “The AYLive has definitely been one show I look forward to during Easter holidays,” popular Actress Adesua Etomi told NAN.

    “I’m here to have fun, laugh, listen to good music and make the best of this holiday break,” she said.

    Similarly, Actress Grace Amah said that she came to have fun and watch every act perform.

    A rich lineup of acts were expected to come out and give fans a show and they didn’t disappoint.

    Comedians, Kenny Blaq, Osama, came through with their aura of distinctive stage persona, making beautiful comedy music and cracking jokes at the same time.

    Also comedians Pencil and Ajebutter were armed with their voice earned a resounding applause from the audience at every round of their performance.

    Freeze and AY were official hosts for the evening, while DJ Consequence provided the music.

    Big Brother Naija contestants, Efe (winner), Bisola, CoCo Ice Thin Tall Tony, Kemen, Debbie Rise, Uriel, Ese, Soma, T-Boss, and others were present.

    Housemates, CoCo Ice and Soma performed their songs, bringing the energy to warm up the crowd for more exciting performances to come.

    Singer Tekno thrilled the crowd with his sheer energy and range of crowd favourite songs, as Davido came through with ‘Dami duro’ with fireworks all over the stage.

    Davido also performed his classics and his reigning song ‘IF’ to the joy of the fans and the audience went wild.

    ALTHOUGH the turf was for Maltina, another brand of Nigerian Brweries and annual sponsor of the populat AY Live show, Star Radler, a new brand from the company received remarkable attention at the Abuja leg of the comedy show.

    The show held on Sunday June 21 at the Transcorp Hotel, Abuja, caused commotion of sort, as guests and celebrities displayed obvious desire for the new drink which comes in a colourful can, and is an exciting mixture of beer and fruit with an alcohol content of 2% vol.

    The top stand-up comedians at the show such as Elenu, I Go Dye, Helen Paul, Akpororo, M.I and Phyno just about managed to compete with Star Radler for the attention of the crowd.

    AFTER eight years of running the show solo, Maltina, from the stable of Nigeria Breweries, has thrown its weight behind the 2014 edition of AY Live scheduled to hold today.

    According to Adewole Adedeji, Senior Brand Manager, Maltina, the decision is borne out of the fact that the brand inspires happy moments worth sharing with family and friends all the values that can be found in AY Live.

    “AY is one of the most iconic comedians in this country today; so, Maltina is very excited to be working with him. Also, because AY Live is an event, you have families come together, share happy moments that will help us bring the core of our brand to live,” he stated.

    Adewole added that in the past, the Maltina brand had searched for a platform that could help bring the core of its brand to life, citing that as the reason it is partnering with comedy shows like AY Live.

    “Our partnership with AY is in order to ensure that Maltina connects with its consumers. AY Live is an event where families come together, share happy moments, share jokes, laugh and have fun. Maltina needs to create that connection. That’s why we are partnering with the show this year. We will be going with AY to his shows in different parts of the country.
