    Ondo lawmaker, Ayebusiwa emerges ‘lawmaker of the year’

    The Chairman, House Committee on State Tertiary Institutions at Ondo State House of Assembly, Chris Ayebusiwa, has emerged as Lawmaker of the year, Lead Awards has announced.

    The Lead Awards unveiled the prize, Sunday, at its second edition held on Sunday at the International Culture and Event Centre (The Dome), Igbatoro Road, Akure, Ondo State Capital.

    The awards holds yearly in the state, featuring awards recipients from different industries, such as Business, Sport, Entertainment, Media, Politics, Information Technology and many more.

    The Lawmaker of the Year Award, as received by Hon Ayebusiwa who received the highest votes from Ondo State citizens to clinch the laurel, belongs in the category of Leadership Excellence and Dignity Awards that are strategically targeted at rewarding mostly deserving sons and daughters of Ondo State.

    Reacting to the receipt of the award, Chris who is representing Okitipupa Constituency I at the 10th Assembly appreciated the people of the state for the show of love and their confidence in his person.

    In his words: “I give glory to God for His limitless grace and mercies. It is by His grace that we have this privilege to serve and the heart to serve well. I thank the people of the state for counting me worthy of this laurel for which they massively voted. I thank my constituents to whom I dedicate this prestigious award.”

    Lead Awards held its debut edition in December 2022.

    Morubodo Day: Hon. Ayebusiwa extols monarch, others 

    The Chairman, House Committee on Tertiary Institutions and member representing Okitipupa Constituency I at Ondo State House of Assembly, Honourable Chris Odunayo Ayebusiwa, has felicitated the monarch and people of Ilutitun-Osooro Community on the occasion of Morubodo Day Celebration.

    Ayebusiwa expressed his good feelings over the cultural cerebration on Saturday in a virtual interaction with the media. 

    He explained that Morubodo Day is an event that means so much to him and which he encourages all and sundry to participate in.

    “Morubodo Day is unlike any other event for me,  and I know it is the same feeling for our people elsewhere. It is one event that we grew up to know and appreciate. 

    “We always crave for it, so this year’s celebration is not an exemption. I pray that all the sons and daughters of Morubodo Kingdom will continue to excel and prosper anywhere they are on the planet earth.

    “I must thank our Kabiyesi, under whose leadership the community has continued to do well, Oba Isaac Idepefo, the Majuwa of Moribodo Kingdom. I greet also the Planning Committee, headed by Mr Jossy Adetula; no doubt, the committee members have all given good accounts of themselves.” Ayebusiwa said.

    Morubodo Day is an event annually organised to celebrate and promote the cultural heritage of Ilutitun Community; an avenue for devising developmental strategies in favour of the community. 

    Chris, who prayed for the progress and prosperity of the community, encouraged all sons and daughters of Morubodo Kingdom to work for the progress of the community, saying: “all hands must be on deck to move Ilutitun forward.”
