The central component of this collaboration is the exclusive scholarship examinations tailored for Junior Secondary School 1 (J.S.1) students in the South Eastern region.
The exams will be conducted in each state capital, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity. Specifically, the exams will be held in Awka for Anambra, Enugu for Enugu State, Abakaliki for Ebonyi, Umuahia for Abia, and Owerri for Imo, with each location serving as a gateway to educational opportunities for deserving students.
A total of 250 students will be selected to benefit from the De Imperial Philanthropic Family’s scholarship scheme, with 50 students chosen from each of the five southeastern states.
This initiative not only grants students access to education but also the means to break free from the cycle of poverty, providing them with a brighter and more promising future.
The scholarship initiative has an ambitious goal at its core: to uplift 1000 students from underprivileged backgrounds in the southeastern states.
It provides comprehensive support, covering educational expenses from Junior Secondary School 1 (J.S.1) to Senior Secondary School 3 (S.S.3). This comprehensive support includes funding for school fees, essential writing materials, WAEC fees for both Junior and Senior levels, and JAMB fees.
By alleviating the financial burden on students and their families, this initiative aims to foster a more equitable and prosperous future.
Hon. Frank Igbojindu, also known as Akpoazaa, the Chief Executive Officer of the Best Brain Contest, has expressed his wholehearted support for this noble cause.
He underscored the organization’s dedication to nurturing the talents and potential of young minds in the South Eastern region, emphasizing the role of education as a catalyst for personal and societal transformation.
The scholarship examinations are set to commence in November 2023, beginning in Anambra state on November 18, 2023, at St. John of God Secondary School in Awka.
This event marks the start of a transformative educational journey for 250 fortunate students in the South East, offering them an opportunity to break free from the constraints of poverty and embark on a brighter future powered by education.
