    I look forward to getting married next year – Bidemi Olaoba

    Gospel singer Bidemi Olaoba has shared plans and aspirations for the future, expressing trust in God to settle down and get married within the next year.

    In a recent conversation with Leke Adeboye, Olaoba expressed his trust in God to settle down and start a new chapter in his life.

    Olaoba said his preferred honeymoon destination will be Japan.

    “By this time next year, I’m trusting God to be settled, married. I’ll love to have my honeymoon in Japan,” he said.

    Olaoba also opened up about his unwavering dedication to prioritising his spiritual growth and self-nourishment.

    He emphasised the importance of seeking guidance and rejuvenation from God’s word, particularly on days when he is scheduled to minister to the congregation.

    According to him, he intentionally schedules his time to attend church services, ensuring he arrives early to receive a powerful blessing from the pastor’s message.

    He said: “I schedule myself in a way that if i’m not in church, ‘The Bridge’, I schedule myself in such a way that I will be seated in service before the pastor preaches so I will also be blessed under the pastor’s ministration. 

    “For example, if I was to Minister by 11, I might try to get there early so that I will still sit under the word, the pastor preaches and I’m also blessed before I come up to minister. I won’t just come in when i’m supposed to minister and go”.

    By doing so, Olaoba believes he can receive the nourishment to be a vessel of blessings to others.

    Bidemi Olaoba to host Dunsin, Tope Alabi, others in Lagos on Sept 1

    Renowned gospel singer Bidemi Olaoba will be hosting some of the contemporary and talented Christian ministers at a prophetic worship and praise concert slated to hold on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the Onikan Stadium in Lagos.

    The concert tagged, ‘In His Presence’, will commence at 1 pm at the popular Onikan Stadium in the heart of Lagos.

    The programme will feature some big names in gospel space in Nigeria such as Dunsin Oyekan, Tope Alabi, Femi Lazarus, Daniel Olawande, Frank Edwards, prophet Taiwo Ojo , Ebuka Songs, Tope Olajengbesi, among many others.

    “We are shutting down Onikan Stadium on Sunday. It promises to be a glorious time in the presence of God. The Bible says in the day of His power, the people shall be willing. We are trusting God for the outpouring of His presence,” Olaoba said.

    The host, known for his praise and worship ministrations, said there will be free buses to commute attendees from different part of Lagos to-and-fro the venue.

    The concert, ‘In His Presence’, is the second to be hosted by Olaoba this year. He held the first edition this year at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) sports complex on May 23.

    Olaoba recently joined Grace and Truth Nation Music, a record label co-founded by Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa and his wife, gospel singer Mercy Chinwo. Olaoba also just released his viral song, ‘Give me chance

    Olaoba is a firm believer that “music is the therapy needed to survive in Nigeria amid socio-economic challenges”.

    He also said music helps “believers to stimulate joy and strengthen their faith”.

    Olaoba is famous for his scriptural quotation during his ministration #thebiblesays He has recorded six singles and released two live performance compilations. The energetic singer has also featured several other gospel artistes.

    According to Pastor Blessed, the signing marks a significant milestone in GNT Nation’s mission to spread the gospel through music.

    Bidemi Olaoba, known for his powerful voice and dynamic stage presence, has committed his talents to glorifying God and spreading messages of hope, love, and salvation.

    Gospel HighLife singer Bidemi Olaoba has said that music is a much-needed therapy to navigate the complexity that Nigeria’s socio-economic challenges.

    ‘The Bible Says’ crooner and music composer made this known in a statement released on Wednesday ahead of his forthcoming concert on May 23, 2024 titled, ‘In His Presence’ which is scheduled to hold at the Sport Complex of the University of Lagos.

    “If you look at the economic situation in Nigeria today, it takes grit and rugged faith to hang on and not give in to depression,” he said. “But the consolation is that despite the hardship in the land, the Bible says in Philippians 4:4 that we should ‘rejoice in the Lord always’.

    “One atmosphere that stimulates joy is an atmosphere of music, not anyhow music but edifying and Godly songs.
