The Diocesan Bishop of Ijesa North Anglican Diocese, Isaac Oluyamo has urged Nigerians never to lose hope in the country despite hardship.
The cleric, during a special programme organised at Rehoboth Mountain, Ijebu Jesa to celebrate teachers made the call, adding government at all levels must intensify efforts to eradicate hardship in Nigeria.
He said: “The issues of security and the hike in fuel prices must be addressed by government at all levels. I urge those in power to intensify efforts in eradicating the hardship in the nation. I want to advise the people never to lose hope despite the current situation of the country.”

Oluyamo prayed for the teachers and urged them to work for God and be dutifully committed to their labour as they continue to serve humanity through their profession.
According to him: “Teachers must emulate the good standard and legacy Jesus laid down in order to create numerous impact in the lives of the children they serve.”
“I implore the Government to ensure the proper care of teachers by paying salaries promptly. I plead with the government to create schemes to ensure better working and living conditions for teachers, such as loans to purchase cars and build houses, allocation of allowances, and offering promotions to ensure stability and optimal convenience at their jobs.”
