Bisoye Fagade rolls up sleeves to work

The saying, the reward for hard work is more work, is what has played out in the life of Chief Abisoye Ayoyinka Fagade, an upwardly mobile entrepreneur, who made a name for himself in the brand marketing space.

Fagade has, over the past three decades, carved a niche for himself in the branding and marketing space where he shone like bright stars when working for De United Food Industries Limited as a brand executive before moving to Starcomms, Tequila, Soulcomm. In all his years of garnering experiences, Fagade’s handling of the MTN account stood out like a shining star in his resume.

The Obafemi Awolowo University alumnus left SO&U group in 2009 to found what is today known as Sodium Brand Solutions Limited. In over 20 years, Fagade has been there and done that in the industry where he now holds sway as a communication, brand, and marketing expert.

His foray into politics isn’t new as he had dared to go into governance many years before the not-too-young-to-rule agitation began.

He tested the waters and put his mouth where his money was in his attempt to take Oyo State to greater heights. Many fondly remember him for the coined slogan, ‘Oyo Si Ma Dun,’ which he used to preach hope, accountability, and service to the people.

As he grew older, the golf lover hobnobbed with politicians but ensured his career was on a steady growth. His belief in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ability to turn Nigeria around must have occasioned his recent appointment.

Fagade is the type that will sway and sweep you off your feet if you give him an opportunity for presentation. Don’t be fooled, the Oyo State indigene isn’t all about words and no action as his success over the last two decades is evident. He’s a team player and gets his hand in the job with his team at every point.

Hence, it was no surprise when President Tinubu decided to task him with the role of the Director General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism. Those close to the fun-loving and jovial Fagade will readily tell you the agency will experience a turnaround in little or no time.
