Relationship therapist Blessing CEO has expressed joy after her partner, Ikechukwu Darry Ogobnna, popularly known as IVD, was discharged and acquitted in the case surrounding the death of his wife.

Blessing announced that IVD was cleared of all charges on December 15, bringing to an end what she described as a four-year ordeal filled with tears and false narratives.

In a post shared on Instagram, she praised Nigeria’s justice system and congratulated IVD on regaining his freedom and life.

“Discharged and acquitted…15th December 2025. It ended in praise. Four years of tears and false narratives. Nigeria’s justice system still works. I am proud of my country. Ikechukwu Darry Ogobnna, IVD, you can now have your life back. Congratulations,” she wrote.

She also advised people to walk away from toxic marriages and relationships before they spiral out of control.

“If marriage or relationship no dey work, please run, don’t wait for anybody to pass. Run,” she added.

IVD was arrested in August at the airport over a domestic violence case linked to his late wife, Bimbo. At the time, Blessing insisted there was no travel ban placed on him and accused some individuals of bullying and harassment.

Blessing CEO denies alleged assault by IVD

Controversial relationship therapist and social media influencer Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has denied allegations fiancé, Ikechukwu Ogbonna (IVD), physically assaulted her.

The controversy erupted after a now-deleted Instagram video surfaced, showing Okoro in visible distress, pleading for help and expressing fear for her safety.

The clip went viral, with social media users speculating that IVD was the source of her distress, a claim fueled by his controversial past, including the 2022 death of his late wife, Bimbo Martins, amid domestic violence allegations.

In a series of Instagram posts and live sessions over the weekend, Okoro dismissed the rumors as “malicious lies” intended to damage her reputation and relationship.

She said in part: “You all should bring the proof that I was be@ten. IVD is someone’s son and brother. Why do you want me to lie against him that he be@t me? Why do you people want to force me to accept a domestic v!olence that doesn’t exist?”

Okoro clarified that the viral video was recorded during a robbery at their residence, not an incident of abuse.

She explained that a male housekeeper allegedly stole valuables, and when confronted by IVD, the situation escalated into a physical altercation between the two men, not involving her.

Recall that IVD was arrested in August 2025 upon arrival at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos over the unresolved case, which he and Okoro have described as “persecution.”

The couple’s relationship, which became public in early 2025, has been under constant online commentary.

Their engagement in April drew criticism, with many accusing Okoro, a vocal advocate against domestic violence of hypocrisy.

In October, a brief “breakup” announcement was later revealed to be a social media stunt.

Breakup with IVD publicity stunt, Blessing CEO makes U-turn

Controversial relationship therapist Blessing Okoro popularly known as Blessing CEO, sent social media into a frenzy yesterday by announcing the end of engagement to auto-dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, known as IVD.

Hours later, she came it was a deliberate ploy to stir controversy and reclaim the spotlight.

Okoro, via an Instagram post, Blessing shared a video with IVD shaking hands, signaling an amicable split.

She declared the engagement over and mentioned plans to sell or give away the ring while covering a tattoo on her neck.

The news shocked followers, given the couple’s high-profile romance, which began gaining attention in 2023 when Blessing hinted at a mystery man and later confirmed as IVD, who had her face tattooed on his arm.

But in a follow-up Instagram post, she admitted the breakup was a calculated move to test her ability to generate controversy, claiming she had regained her knack for attention.

She confirmed reconciliation with IVD and teased upcoming wedding plans, mentioning that traditional wedding attire for guests was ready.

“I was losing my touch of controversy. Decided to test it again. I still got the magic. No be Blessingceo again. Boom. Boo boo for life. They love bad news ooooooo. Wedding loading,” she wrote.

In another post, she expressed how sorry she was for distracting people as she announced that she has reconciled with her man.

“Apologising to bloggers, she thanked them for always making her trend as she announced that her asoebi is ready.

“Sorry for distracting you people, No vex we don reconcile. Bloggers no vex . Thanks for always trending me ok. Asoebi is ready ooo. If we break up again I will still come and tell you people”.

Their engagement, announced in April 2025 fuelled months of wedding speculation, despite IVD’s controversial history, including his 2022 connection to the death of his ex-wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, and an August 2025 arrest linked to domestic violence allegations.

Blessing CEO demands justice over fiancé IVD’s ‘unlawful’ arrest

Relationship coach Blessing CEO has come to the defence of her fiancé, IVD, after he was reportedly detained by the Lagos State Police at the airport while attempting to travel to Qatar.

According to Blessing CEO, IVD’s arrest stemmed from an ongoing domestic violence case related to his late wife, Bimbo.

Blessing CEO disputed the grounds for the arrest, claiming there was no travel ban imposed on IVD.

She said it was implausible that IVD would publicly announce his travel plans if such a restriction existed.

Furthermore, she questioned the legitimacy of the arrest, demanding to see the supporting paperwork and challenging the police to specify the charges against him.

The relationship expert accused the police of bullying and intimidation, alleging that a single individual is using their power to hold IVD captive.

She called on the Lagos State authorities to intervene in the matter before it escalates further.

According to her, IVD has been cooperative throughout the three-year-long case and had no intention of fleeing, as evidenced by his return ticket for the 10-day trip.

She wrote on Instagram: “Ivd never submitted any passport to the court, his passport was missing and after 2 years to the case he did a new passport. There was no ban whatsoever on him; if there was, why would he make his travel public? IVD has never jumped bail for 3 years of the ongoing case, so why would he run for just a 10-day trip that has a return ticket? This is a game of politics and dirty emotions, and I hope there is paperwork. I will question the law.

“What are you charging him for? Show us the paperwork. Why are you holding him hostage just to please a woman?
This is a tribal war; it has nothing to do with justice. And the state must be questioned. Nobody arrested ivd,1 man is using power to bully ivd. No case file, no statement just said oga said hold him till monday so we go lock am up.
My question is for what??? They know the judges are on vacation, which is why the bully. How come bloggers know everything that the police don’t know? I wonder how much that woman paid you, Oga.

“I rest my case. Stop bullying Ivd because he is a MAN. Stop intimidating him. Just because you could not take his life, you are doing everything to intimidate him. This is an injustice. They have bullied him for over 3 years.

“Lagos state, please come into this before it gets messy. Why are they holding IVD?”.

  • Why some modern marriages fail, by Blessing CEO

Why some modern marriages fail, by Blessing CEO

Relationship therapist Blessing CEO has attributed the failure of many modern marriages to excessive communication and social media usage.

In an interview with Instablog, she said that the breakdown of traditional community structures, which once helped resolve marital issues, has contributed to the problems facing modern marriages.

According to Blessing, women’s independence can be both a blessing and a curse in relationships.

She noted that while independence is empowering, it can also lead to women becoming too assertive or competitive, potentially threatening their husbands’ masculinity.

She advises women to maintain their femininity and softness, even in the face of success, to avoid pushing their husbands away.

She said women’s success can make their husbands feel insecure, not because of the achievements themselves, but because of the perceived threat to their masculinity.

She cautions that when women “drag shoulders” with their husbands, it can lead to infidelity or the end of the marriage.

“In our generation, because I am working and earning money, even if I am quarrelling with my husband, what do I need to go to my husband for? Once a woman becomes independent, they begin to rub shoulders with men.

“A lot of people say that whenever a woman becomes successful, the man becomes insecure. The truth is that no man is intimidated by your success; they are only afraid of the masculinity that comes with success.

“So women should always remember to be soft, no matter how much you have, because once you start to drag shoulders with your husband, he begins to cheat and look for a woman who is softer, or he leaves the marriage,” Blessing CEO said.

In her view, making money is not only achievable for women but also essential for their well-being.

She added that women should focus on empowering themselves through hard work and financial stability, allowing them to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and independence.

She said: “Women, work, hustle so that hunger will not be the reason you’re falling in love. Work, so that you can have a voice and get yourself the basic things of life. Hustle so hard so that you’ll not be blinded and your essence taken. You’re not supposed to be in a relationship because of hunger.

” It is not our job as women to suffer. It is the job of men to suffer and get their daily bread. Where it will take a man ten thousand times to enter, it will take a woman just one time to enter.  Women’s tears alone open doors. Work so that you can become independent. Making money for a woman is easy. There’s so much joy that comes from being independent”.

“Did Iyabo Ojo teach you something? She did not carry Pauloo to give her daughter away. It was Priscilla’s father who gave out his daughter in marriage, despite their rift. The video is just a video for the jagabans, community women and feminists. Madam, allow these men to play their roles in their children’s lives. Anything they want to give to their father, allow them.
