Roads closed as Bobbi Kristina is laid to rest

As Bobbi Kristina was buried alongside her mother Whitney Houston yesterday, town police announced road closures and restrictions around Fairview Cemetery.

Bobbi, the 22-year-old only child of singers Houston and Bobby Brown, died in hospice care on July 26, months after she was found unresponsive in her Georgia home.

East Broad Street, where the cemetery is located, was closed at about 10 a.m. from Wychwood Road to Springfield Avenue. Gallows Hill Road was also closed from East Broad Street to the Cranford line.

No parking was allowed on the closed roads from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. yesterday, though residents were allowed to access their homes.

The burial follows a private funeral and wake held last week in Atlanta.

The road closure became necessary when news vans started appearing outside Fairview Cemetery on East Broad Street this week in the wake of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death. Westfield residents said they were most concerned about an intrusive media presence and obstacles for those who wish to visit other graves.

Bobbi Kristina for burial today

The body of 22-year-old daughter of Bobbi Kristina, daughter of American musicians, Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, will be interned today, in New Jessey.

Kristina died in hospice care on July 26, six months after she was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub at her Atlanta home on January 31. She never regained consciousness after the incident.

Reports say she will be buried beside her mother at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, New Jersey.

A celebration of the life and times of the only offspring of the famous musical couple together was held as a private funeral service at St. James United Methodist Church, Alphretta, Georgia, at the weekend.

It was a gathering of family members and close friends, while fans converged outside to pay their last respect. Afterwards, guests were treated to a quiet meal at the Houston family estate.

The body of Kristina was carried in a silver casket to the church, where the invitation-only service included grandmother Cissy Houston; Bobby Brown and his wife, Alicia; and celebrities including media mogul Tyler Perry and singer Monica.

Emotions rose, as ‘Whitney Houston gave her daughter a final goodbye’, with the final song being Jesus Loves Me by Whitney.

During the ceremony, members of both the Brown and Houston families spoke as well as Tyler Perry. Although he was not listed as a speaker, Bobby Brown wrote a special message in the funeral’s program which read, “I also will always love you.”

Animosity between the Brown and Houston families rear its ugly head again during the funeral, but Perry was on hand to put it under control, when Kristina’s aunt, Leola Brown attempted to interrupt Pat Houston, who was preparing to speak at the ceremony.

Perry had also been in touch with the family since Kristina’s hospitalization, and had helped in planning the funeral.

A few days to the funeral, Kristina’s ex, Nick Gordon, who was being fingered in the deceased crisis, sent an email to her father and aunt, begging to be allowed to attend the service.

He wrote: “I loved Krissi with all my heart, and I am destroyed that she is gone, and I need to say goodbye.” He went on, “Krissi loved me very much, and would want me there.”

Another mild drama was said to occur during the funeral when Alicia was rushed to an Atlanta area hospital after suffering a seizure.

A source told TMZ that once Alicia got to the hospital, she was able to walk inside with little help, and that Bobby Brown has been by her side.

Bobbi Kristina dies at 22

Late Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, whose fate hung in the balance for six months, has passed away.

Family and friends had hoped for a miracle since the 22-year-old was placed on medically induced coma on January 31, despite doctors’ skepticism.

Hundreds of fans had also joined Bobby Brown’s siblings Tommy, Tina, and Leolah Brown at a Shining a Light for Healing vigil in Georgia on Monday, February 9, to pray for her survival.

Recall that Kristina, also the daughter of singer Bobbi Brown, was found submerged in her bathtub on January 31, and was placed on life support after paramedics were able to resuscitate her.

Kristina died on Sunday at the hospice care facility where she was transferred to on June 24, after her family decided to take her off all medications.

Pat Houston and Bobby, co-guardians for the deceased made the decision to withdraw medications. It was a rare moment of agreement for the Browns and Houstons who had battled about Bobbi’s condition throughout her hospitalisation.

Taking the situation in their stride, the family says Bobbi Kristina “is finally at peace in the arms of God.”

However, there are strong indications the District Attorney is gearing up for a murder case, in which her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, is their first suspect. Police said there were bruises on Bobbi Kristina’s face and body after Gordon and a friend, Max Lomas, found her in the tub.

Her mother died from a drug overdose in 2012 while sitting in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Ultimately, Pat Houston and Bobby, co-guardians for Bobbi Kristina, had to make the decision to withdraw medications. It was a rare moment of agreement for the Browns and Houstons who had battled about Bobbi’s condition throughout her hospitalisation.

Bobbi Kristina: Family plans to withdraw life support

Bobbi Kristina Brown is ‘being taken home to die peacefully’ by her family after lying unresponsive in hospital for four months. According to reports, the 22-year-old – has been in hospital since she was found face down and unconscious in a bath on January 31 by her boyfriend Nick Gordon shortly before the third anniversary of her mother’s death.

An insider told Radar Online: ‘They are planning to keep her in Georgia and possibly bring her back to the townhouse. – She will be moved to the house in which she lived with her mother, although her father Bobby Brown is against the decision.

‘That was her home and her mum’s home. If they can bring her back it would be great. ‘If she’s alive, then let her be home and surrounded by beautiful photos of her mum. It’s as good as it gets in such a bad situation.’

However, it’s thought that her father Bobby Brown doesn’t want to take her home, away from the safety of life support. Sources close to the musician insisted just two weeks ago that he would ‘never’ disconnect his daughter from the machines keeping her alive. Sources close to Bobby Brown told People magazine on May 28,’Don’t believe any reports that Bobby is going to take her off life support,’ an unnamed ‘Brown family source’ ‘He’s never going to do that.’ I don’t think he’ll ever go there; if there’s a 2 percent chance, a 1 percent chance, a 0.1 percent chance, he will keep hope alive.’

The 22-year-old only child of the late Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina was found face down in a bathtub at her home just 11 days before the third anniversary of her mother’s tragic death in a hotel bathroom. Although she has been taken out of a medically-induced coma, she remains unresponsive, and family sources have indicted she has irreversible brain damage. Currently, Bobbi Kristina’s estate is worth approximately $20 million. The estate was bequeathed through her mother Whitney’s will when she died in 2012.

Bobby Brown, and Pat Houston, the wife of Whitney’s brother Gary, have co-guardianship of Bobbi Kristina’s estate, which means they are jointly responsible for making decisions about her care and medical needs.

Chaka Khan speaks about Bobbi Kristina

Bobbi Kristina’s medically induced coma since the 31^st of January has drawn sympathy from the public and now Chaka Khan.

Chaka Khan recently shared her thoughts on Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition during an interview with London newspaper the Daily Mirror.

“I’ve been in conversation with the family. Everyone’s devastated, everyone. I love Bobbi Kristina, I love Whitney, I love Bobby Brown. I love Cissy — I love them all,” she said, referring to Houston’s mother. “But we just have to wait for what happens next. All I want to do is be there for them. I just need to pray … Whitney would be devastated. I wish she was here.”

“You really don’t know what this is like for a mother until it happens to you,” Khan continued. “I think I’m pretty close to feeling what she would have felt and what she’s feeling right now, wherever she is.”

Over the course of Brown’s hospitalization, numerous reports have speculated that drug use was responsible for the 22-year-old being discovered facedown and unresponsive in a bathtub full of water. The legendary funk-R&B legend recalled her very own past public bout with drug addiction, and the important steps she took to win her battle.

“I call myself an ex-addict. For years I was having fun and it all made fun more fun for me. But life changes,” she explained. “As entertainers, we are highly sensitive people and there’s no way things can’t get to you. But you have to find ways to protect yourself from that crap. I’ve cut back on a lot of friends because they’ve got problems. You have to hand-pick your situations.”
“I was having trouble getting any sleep and I was very depressed,” she said. “I came back home one morning and took a heavy-duty sleeping pill. It didn’t work so I took another one. The next thing I know, I’m in an ambulance, getting my stomach pumped, and they told me that I nearly died.”

Prior to this admission Khan revealed to the Daily Mail about her near-death experience following an excessive cocaine binge which led to depression and Khan collapsing in the home of her ex-husband Richard Holland.

Cissy Houston admits little hope for Bobbi Kristina

BOBBI Kristina’s grandmother, Cissy Houston, is on the verge of losing hope that Bobbi will ever wake up. In a radio interview with New York’s WBLS, Cissy gave an update on Bobbi, which is everything but cheering: “There’s not a great deal of hope,” Cissy revealed.

She also confirmed that Bobbi has been moved to a rehabilitation center from the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

Bobbi’s chances of improvement are now weaker than ever and “Mama Cissy” herself is losing hope, but the grandmother is still encouraging everyone around her, including fans, to pray. “I don’t pray like that,” Cissy explained. “I give it to God one time, because I know he’s able, and I cannot change a thing.”

Bobbi, 22, was found unresponsive in her bathtub on January 31, and weeks later, the tragedy endures. Bobbi’s grandmother, Cissy Houston, 81, addressed Bobbi’s condition in a radio interview with WBLS on March 25.

Over the past several weeks, Bobbi Kristina’s family has spoken publicly about her condition. Recently, Bobbi’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, 24, broke down on Dr. Phil.

Nick and the rest of the Houston-Brown family are extremely devastated to see Bobbi this way.

Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend turns violent during interview

Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend turned violent during an interview session with the famous Dr Phil.

Gordon who was high on drugs and alcohol turned violent after he realized that the supposed interview was an intervention.

Witnesses at the Atlanta hotel where the interview held say he was so intoxicated he couldn’t stand up and had to be pushed on a luggage cart from the lobby to interview room.

Gordon’s mother, Michelle has staged an intervention with Dr. Phil and made it seem it was an interview.

According to reports, during the first part of the interview, Gordon broke down into tears and screamed “I miss Krissy and Whitney, so much. I hate Bobby Brown.”

However, when Dr. Phil turned the question to his alcoholism and addiction, he realized that the supposed interview was an intervention, Gordon turned violent, stormed out of the interview, and allegedly punched two staff of the show.

During the “interview”, Gordon was so intoxicated that he could barely sit up and was muttering incoherent words. Gordon’s mother did all the talking and told Dr. Phil that her son was addicted to booze and Xanax, a drug used to treat anxiety ad panic disorder caused by depression.

Gordon also threatened to kill himself if Bobbi Kristina’s condition will not improve. The daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston has remained in a medically induced coma for more than a month now.

During the last weeks, Gordon has been exchanging angry words with BobbyBrown over social media, after he was banned from visiting Bobbi Kristina because he refused to cooperate with the police. Gordon is reportedly a subject of criminal investigation due to questionable injuries Bobbi Kristina is believed to have sustained shortly before being found face down in her bathtub.

Bobbi Kristina is still in an induced coma at the Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital.

Family urges everyone to pray for Bobbi Kristina

Patricia Houston, Whitney Houston’s sister in-law posted a sweet photo of late Whitney Houston and her daughter.

“Today is Bobbi Kristina’s 22nd birthday, and we ask you to continue to keep her in your prayers, as she is still fighting the battle of her life.” she wrote

According to Cbsnews, Houston’s health condition has been largely the same since Brown was admitted to the hospital on Jan. 31 after being found unresponsive in a bathtub at her hometown in Roswell, Georgia.

Shortly afterwards, the family said she was “fighting for her dear life.”
