He said: “One day at a time, and don’t take yourself too seriously. I am lucky when it comes to marriage. I think most marriages have to do with luck before any form of planning comes into play. So, I think I am lucky.

“I have learned not to take things too personally, but that doesn’t mean I don’t get pushed or worried. There is no perfect marriage but perfection comes from loving the imperfection.

“I am not the type of person who will stay in a place that isn’t conducive, so that’s why I said I am lucky to be where I am, but, for many years, I was doing this one thing at a time, and I am a giver by nature.

“I am lucky to have her and her wanting to have me, and wanting to have each other and make it work”.

Jesus watched hosts of hell come for me – Bovi

Stand-up comedian Bovi Ugboma has recalled how he battled with powerful enemies.

He recounted how Jesus nonchalantly stood aside and watched the host of hell come for him in form of a man and a woman.

Keeping them anonymous, he said he will do so for the protection of his loved ones who are may not be fortified.

Bovi stated he thought he could go through life without having enemies but realised one doesn’t come for them, they will come for you.

The actor wrote: “How Jesus nonchalantly stood aside and watched the host of hell come for me.

“I once had two very powerful enemies. One Man and one woman. I will withhold their identities for the safety of my loved ones that may not be fortified. As for me, I don’t need any protection, I’m charmed as I have come to find out.

“I thought I could go through life without having enemies. I’ve learned the hard way that if you don’t come for them, they will come for you. Nothing stays the same.

“My male enemy suffered from the spirit of covetousness. Everything I owned, he wanted. It became so bad that I pretended to like shit so he fell in love with shit and he became full of shit.

“My female enemy suffered from the spirit of jealousy. She was so jealous that whatever I aimed to get, if she was in the room, she would kill it. She had a very demonic persuasion that convinced angels God sent to help me.

“My offense; I was light, she was darkness.

“So one day, she took an opportunity meant for me and gave it to him. It was the first time, they were coming together to attack me even though he were never friends in the first place. But I wasn’t surprised cos you know what they say; the enemy if my enemy is my friend.

“I put my disappointment past me and wrote a text to two of them. Though their sins were different, the same message sufficed for both of them. I said “I see you and all you do. Don’t stop till you dance naked in the market”, he wrote in part.

Glad we have well-raised children, Bovi hails Namtira’s calmness

Stand-up comedian Bovi Ugboma has weighed in on the viral video of a female student of Lead British school who bullied her fellow classmate, Namtira Bwala.

Bovi expressed delight there are well-raised children who are soft, meek, and civil.

Bovi lauded Namtira for being calm, even though she could have been afraid but didn’t whimper and beg.

He wrote: “It gives me great joy to know that we still have well-raised children in Nigeria. Children who are soft meek and civil. Children who are under the deadliest provocation still keep their calm. Though the girl in question may have been afraid, she didn’t coil, she didn’t whimper. She didn’t beg. I admire her.

“However, it is left for the authorities to magnify this abuse and deal with it decisively. It should serve as a warning to orders.

“Also of importance is the need for the bullied girl to go through some counseling so that every impending trauma is squashed before it develops. As I’d always say, we can only give what we were given. This is how monsters are created. No child was born violent.

“Lastly, I saw the video of the relative who slapped the bully. She acted in fury, but by the definition of law, she acted in retaliation. While I understand the outrage and her anger, let’s not forget that these are the issues. Slapping somebody across the face is a no. Nothing civil about it. We must start to preach this across board and we must emphasize the criminality of jungle justice”.
