Chika Ike visits Alma mata on Children’s Day
Nollywood star Chika Ike has today, Children’s day visited her alma mata St. Francis Catholic Secondary School in Lagos, surprising the students of the institution.
She shared photos of her visit with the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls in an attempt to launch a campaign.
Chike Ike was recently appointed Brand Ambassador for National Commission for Refugee and displaced persons.

Politicians urged not to politicise ‘bring back our girls’ campaign
The Coordinator of the National Information Centre, Mike Omeri, yesterday advised politicians to desist from politicising the ”bring back our girls” campaign.
He added that troops were in the forest searching for the abducted girls with support from other countries.
Omeri said that such an issue of national importance should not be reduced to politics.
He said: “We appeal that this should not be politicised. Since we started this national briefing, no politician has accompanied us here because we are pursuing the Nigeria agenda.”
Omeri however commended the House of Reps for its swift response to the President Goodluck Jonathan’s request for the extension of the state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states.
Omeri disclosed that the extradition of Aminu Ogwuche, the alleged mastermind of Nyanya bombing, was almost completed and he would soon arrive the country.
He added that a red alert had been issued on Rufai Abubakar Tsiga, the other fleeing suspected mastermind, and would be brought to justice as soon as he is apprehended.
The Nigerian Police Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Frank Mba, speaking on the girls, said investigation was still ongoing as the Federal Government hopes to achieve results as soon as possible.
