Singer Brown Joel has dispelled rumors about his collaboration on the hit song Ogechi, clarifying that he and his collaborators are not a group.
In a recent interview on HipTv, he explained, “We’re not a group. We’re friends and individual artists. There’s no contract binding us as a crew.”

He also took a subtle swipe at streaming figures, stating, “When you get to a concert, real humans will sing for you. Not digital numbers.”
Joel emphasised that he and his collaborators operate as independent artists, not a formal collective.
