The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has described the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari as a great loss to the nation
While expressing deep sorrow over the passing of Nigeria’s immediate past president in a condolence message on Sunday by his special adviser on media, Orji Uchenna Orji, the minister described the late President as a disciplined statesman, a politician of uncommon integrity, and a leader renowned for his frugality, patriotism, and unwavering dedication to national service.

Umahi noted that President Buhari left indelible footprints in Nigeria’s history both as a former Military Head of State and later as a democratically elected President, adding that his contributions to national development and his commitment to anti-corruption and good governance would remain a source of inspiration to generations.
The Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to President Bola Tinubu, the family of the late President, the government and people of Katsina State, and all Nigerians mourning this great loss.
He prayed for God’s comfort and strength for the bereaved family and the nation at large, stating, “May they find solace in the eternal truth that we belong to God, and Him we shall return.”
