If Tinubu offers me appointment, I will appreciate it – Ex-Atiku’s spokesman Bwala

Daniel Bwala, former spokesman for Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the February 2023 presidential election, has said he will accept any position that will enable him to support President Bola Tinubu’s agenda for Nigeria.

He said this during an interview on Channels Television on Sunday.

Bwala, who recently met with President Tinubu and declared his support to work with the All Progressives Congress (APC) government, said he will accept any offer by the President because he promised to support his agenda.

He said: “Ok, let me tell you this: If the president makes an offer of a position that I see that will contribute to the development of his agenda because I say I will support his agenda, I will more than anything else, appreciate it, but it is not the appointment that I am looking for to support him. That’s why I’m telling you eight years I supported Buhari, I was not a public official.

“You see you have to separate between those who do not have value and are clinging and crying for appointment and those who believe the value and what they will contribute has nothing to do with whether you are appointed or you are not appointed.

“But I can understand when people rate you and then they see what you can bring to the table. Sometimes people do what we call pre-emptive action, they can pre-empt it.

“And I said so many things in the media, ‘He promised this, he said that’. I want to say to everybody listening, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not promised me anything,” he said.

Bwala also clarified that the visit to Tinubu was not a betrayal of Atiku, “I informed Atiku Abubakar I was going to see the President,” Bwala maintained.

“After I had seen the President, I informed him (Atiku) that I had just seen the President and he replied me that, ‘Thanks Daniel for notifying me.”

  • Bwala meets Tinubu

    Bwala meets Tinubu

Daniel Bwala is an interesting fellow. He quit the Tinubu vortex because, according to him, he could not accept the so-called Muslim-Muslim ticket. He joined Atiku, and TVC Breakfast show invited him to explain a crisis in his party when Wike and Atiku crossed swords over Ayu’s chairmanship of the party. He appeared on TVC Breakfast show, and I asked him why Atiku was insisting on retaining Ayu as chair when Atiku also came from the north against the party’s constitution.  He replied that the party would remove Ayu after Atiku had won the election. It was an admission that the arrangement was not neat or just. So, I asked, “Do you want to do the wrong thing first and the right thing later?” Whether out of shock or technology glitch, he disappeared from the screen. Then he returned fuming. To all intents and purposes, that was the end of the interview.  He became paranoid and went to social media to say I came to the show just because of him. He also ran scared whenever TVC called him. He asked if I was behind the interview request. I don’t recall him appearing on TVC since. I may be wrong, though.

Now, he met with President Tinubu and has threatened to defect to APC. I like Bwala. He is a consistent man. Just as he was going to do the wrong thing first and the right thing later, he joined Atiku first and his plotting to join Tinubu later. A man should always do the right thing at last. A cheer for Bwala.

Audu, on Wednesday, shared more information on how simple it was to obtain a certificate, noting that the certificate was delivered like pizza after payment was made.

He also revealed a thriving certificate racketeering syndicate in neighbouring African nations like Benin Republic and Togo, which specializes in selling university degrees to willing buyers in Nigeria, in his investigative report titled “How Daily Nigerian reporter bagged Cotonou varsity degree in 6 weeks.”

He also urged President Tinubu to personally invite, congratulate, and honour him.

He wrote: “That journalist that went undercover and exposed fake degree certs by a Benin Republic University which caused a major government policy decision should be given an award as Man of the Year by all Media houses. He just saved Nigeria.

“Tinubu should personally invite him and shake his hands to congratulate him and honour him.
