Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface has reacted to his shock omission from the 10 nominees for the 2024 CAF Player of the Year Award.
Victor Boniface won a historic German league and cup double with Leverkusen.
He also played in the UEFA Europa League final in May.

In a social media post, Victor Boniface reasoned that missing out on the delayed 2023 AFCON in February may have hurt his chances to vie for the continental gong.
“Rookie of the season…Team of the season…No worry I no play AFCON…Na why I dey wait for memes d or,” he posted.
A serious abductor injury in the Super Eagles training camp ruled him out of the tournament.
The Super Eagles will go on to reach the AFCON final with two nominees for the CAF Player of the Year, Ademola Lookman and William Ekong, shining through.
